Clearly the smart money should go on Silva, but I just can't pick against Chael here.

Don't ask me why, I know commonsense should be telling me Silva is going to go after Chael like he did Leben/Franklin! Still nevertheless, I think you would have to be silly to believe Chael doesn't know this, I believe he's used the Diaz Brother's "get in your opponents head" strategy, and to prefection. Now of course Sonnen could still get caught in a submission, honestly I believe if Anderson does win, by sub is the only way he can do it. (unless he gets some home cooking from the judges) Chael imo has one of the best chins in mma today, that's one big key you have to give to the Irish/American, mofo can take a big shot. I honestly don't think Silva can put Chael away with strikes.

Anyways I see a supremely prepared Sonnen going into Brazil, taking it straight to Anderson, with maybe some acrobatic ****, taking Silva down and grinding out a 5 round decision. If Chael is as smart as he is intelligent then he should be a 3rd degree Black Belt in BJJ submission defense lol. Okay I'm rambling now,  so does anybody else share my opinion on how this fight will play out? Or at least agree with some of it lol? Or just completely disagree , and you want to call me all sorts of bad names & words, but you wont because you are all such super nice  guys and gals lol?

Im picking Silva, but Chaels got some tasty odds, I wouldnt say the smart money would be on Silva even though Im sure he'll win. Im steering clear of this fight in terms of betting at the moment, theres too many emotions in it in terms of who I want to win so I think it'll cloud my judgement, same with Alves vs Kampmann.

That Brazilian crowd though, they are SO hostile to non-Brazilians but I think we can all agree Chaels one of the few fighters with the mental toughness to overcome that. I really think Silvas gonna be ready this time though and I think hes going to put Chael out.

After the last 2 Brazil cards I wouldn't want to bet on anyone that isn't Brazilian no matter what the odds are lol

Whenever we talk about football (soccer) stadiums with immense home support we refer to them as 'fortresses' because its so hard to go there, its the same with Brazil, that crowd could spur on any Brazilian to have the confidence to beat anyone

@Russello I agree Chael will not even notice the Brazilian crowd is there. I also feel that you're right about Silva being the clear favorite. But I really believe Anderson cannot knock Chael out, and he cannot win (legitimately) by decision, which just leaves by sub. Don't get me wrong I absolutely believe Silva can/could submit Sonnen again, but I don't think he will even try, because he wants to beat Chaellike a dog and finish him that way. Which I believe has been Chael's whole strategy with all this trash-talk. To get Anderson Silva so pissed at him, that the proud Brazilian would vow to KO him out/refuse to go for the tap. I believe it might have worked this time, and I believe as much as I love and respect Anderson Silva I have to be honest when I say, I truly don't believe The Spider can knock Chael out. Of course I honestly don't believe anybody South of the heavyweight division (and only a few huge power HW strikers that maybe could KO him)  can knock Sonnen out. I gotta go with Sonnen by decision, and I hope Chael and his camp have focused on learning nothing since UFC 117 but submission defense. Because if they have I personally cannot see this fight turning out any other way.

i don't disagree with you per say but i definitely don't agree.  Anderson is aware of head games and is to smart for them.  secondly are you really saying that Anderson's striking is not hard enough to combat Chael's chin?? you know anderson KO'd vitor (something noone else not even chuck liddell could do)  wobbled Hendo (ya it's been done but still no easy feat)  finished Leban with ease (also been done but still not easy)  and dropped your boy Sonnen with a weird ass angled elbow.

i'm the first to admit he has a chin but saying that it's impossible for Anderson to KO him is just delusional.

yeah that doesn't make much sense..now if you don't want to know who wins the TUF season you have to skip this card and basically avoid any mma site for awhile.
