First and foremost, Carlos Condit wasn't running, he was executing a very well put together gameplan. He circled off the cage every time Diaz tried to pin him to unload his trademark combinations. He also used his length and kicks to negate Diaz's movement. Anyone who see's otherwise is clearly a nuthugger. I'll admit it wasn't the most awesome fight because it wasn't a brawl, but watching Condit put together and follow thru on a gameplan as well as he did proves that he's ready to fight GSP. It also showed Nick's inability to adapt in a fight when it wasn't going his way. The blueprint has been out for everyone to see how to beat Nick since he fought Frank Shamrock....
I also don't see how you can give Diaz the 5th for taking his back with one minute left. Condit was clearly dominating round 5 until that point and wasn't even close to being submitted. I had it 49-46 and the fight metric proves otherwise. IMO you can't win fights by pressing forward if your not landing shots, much like you can't win fights for holding someone against the cage if your not doing any damage.
