Check out the blog this morning for an exclusive interview with Jim Miller, as he discusses his recent winning streak, his frustration with casual fans underrating him, and how he plans to rectify the situation going forward.

Personally, I've got Miller ranked at No. 3 in my LW rankings, though I understand arguments that Florian could be ranked there.

I think miller should fight guillard for the No. 1 contender.

I can't blame miller, he's definitely a very good fighter. He deserves a fight with Guillard or Sotiropolous.

@BeastMaster Replace Guillard with Sotiropoulos (assuming both Sotiropoulos and Miller win their next fights) and I agree.

I too have Jim Miller ranked #3; he's due his shot and i think he should be fighting a much bigger name than Kamal Shalorous next....

I brought up Sotiropoulos in the interview as an opponent Miller should ask for after he defeated Shalorus. Assuming both of them win their next fights, they will have won seven in a row in one of the most stacked weight divisions in the sport and the timing should work out great. I think Guillard is still a step or two away from title contention. I have Guillard at No. 8.

@BeastMaster: Sotiropoulos takes on Dennis Siver this month at UFC 127, while Miller takes on Shalorus next month at UFC 128. Siver isn't that bad, but clearly both Miller and Sotiropoulos aren't being given the respect they deserve as contenders.

I have Miller in the top 15. He has a lot of wins in a row but still doesn't have that one big name to push him over. If I was talking just UFC I would have him at #7. He is an excellent contender in a very deep division. A win over Shalorus is good but he is still fighting opponents lower ranked than himself. It will take a win over big name to push him over.

Jim miller is 19 - 2 ( 8 - 1 UFC) with his only losses coming to Edgar and Maynard so I've definitely got him in my top 10 lightweights.

#7 lightweight in my rankings.

It's not all about who you lose to but who you actually beat. If he had a top 10 win to go with those two losses then it's understandable. So far he's 0-2 against top ranked opponents. Not to say the people he's beaten are bad but none are really top ranked. Right now a win over besides Edgar and Maynard that would really impress: Florian, Sherk, G-Sot, Guillard, Pettis, Henderson, and Guida.

I can't see how most rankings have Miller top 5, and Bocek not even the top 10. Oh well, everyone will change their minds when Bocek submits Henderson in under 5 minutes.

@thiagosilva Well Bocek completely handled Miller in the majority of the 15 minutes, winning a 29-28 or even 30-27 in most people's eyes. Some people think it's because the fight took place in newark, new jersey (miller is from new jersey). After the decision was announced that Miller won, the hometown crowd even began to boo, that's how bad a decision it was when even your own town doesn't side with you. It was a horrible decision, probably between how bad the Dunham-Sherk and the Phan-Garcia decisions were.

Oh right ... I thought dunham-sherk was the right decision ... but tyson vs lentz was the worst decision of all time.

@thiagosilva Ya, I said it ranged between how bad the two decisions were as people were split down the middle for the dunham-sherk fight and almost everyone though Phan won the Garcia fight. In Bocek's case I would guess most people, like 80% thought the fight was his. Oh and you think Lentz-Griffin was worse than Phan-Garcia? I had it 29-28 Griffin for the Lentz fight, but for the Garcia fight I had it 30-27 maybe 30-26 Phan.

He is the no.7 ranked LW in the world right now on my rankings. He needs to get a signature win if he wants to a step into the top 5, the fact is that everyone who I have ahead of him has a much better resume complete with top 10 wins and everything.

Oh right my bad .... I had it a sure 30-27 for Tyson ... I didnt really know how to score Garcia/Phan but it was either a 29-28 or 30-27 def not 30-26 none of those rounds were close to 10-8

@thiago I'm not disagreeing with you man. Both were horrible decisions. The round I thought could have been a 10-8 was the second one. To me narrowly escaping a submission that is fully sunk in is the same as getting badly rocked and recovering.

The Phan vs Garcia fight was a bad decision. But reading media PbP and scoring One media outlet gave round 1 to Garcia and another gave the 3rd to Garcia. So maybe those rounds are closer than we would like to believe. The 2nd was all Nam. It always looks terrible when a fighter squeaks away with 2 rounds and get's dominated 1 and still wins. Not to say that happened in the Phan fight but that does happen.

^^ Rampage vs Machida comes to mind immediately. Only it looked even worse because he got his ass kicked in the third round so that is what people remember.
