Predictions: 4 of 5 Winners, 2 Perfect, 275 Points   |   Tied for 31st with 30 others

Sasu vs. Kim
Keisuke Sasu, TKO, R2
Sasu is good, I still think he beats Zha Yi 7/10 times and Zha Yi ain´t bad. Kim isn´t consistent and he struggled a lot in the fight with Haraguchi so I am siding with Sasu

Climaco vs. Lee
Mark Climaco, DEC
Lee is the Korean wonderkid but I have not been able to find tape on him. On paper his wins don´t look that good. On the other hand, we know Climaco is one of the best wrestlers at 125 facing the best oposition in the US, this experience should be key in the later rounds. Going with Climaco on this one, but is kind of sad they are fighting in the first round, as this could have been the finals

Yi vs. Jiahefu
Zha Yi, SUB, R1
We know Yi, he is a capable featherweight with limitations. He should be able to deal with chinese journeyman coming in short notice, but if you watch chinese MMA, you know this fights are always closer than they should

Tsuruya vs. Siahaan
Rei Tsuruya, TKO, R1
Tsuruya is japan´s wonderkid, but he has a lot more solid resume than Lee. He is the son of Hiroshi Tsuruya, who represents the Paraestra Matsudo gim. Siahaan is good for the indonesian regional scene, but Tsuruya may proof to be to much

Kiwram vs. Tumendemberel
Nyamjargal Tumendemberel, TKO, R2
We all love Topnoi, but he is going to be taken down by the mongolian

Predictions: 4 of 5 Winners, 1 Perfect, 240 Points   |   Tied for 93rd

Sasu vs. Kim
Keisuke Sasu, DEC
Idk why either of these guys are getting a shot at a ufc conteact, but I REALLY don’t get why Kim was even chosen. He lost to haraguchi who is also in this tourney & has a **** record with no notable wins. Make it make sense

Climaco vs. Lee
Mark Climaco, DEC
I’m pretty annoyed the ufc matched these two together since both are very good prospects, but I think they’re at different paths in their careers. Lee has been looking like a beast in Korea. He’s shown good powet and a really slick & diverse striking game. However, he is still u tested. He’s fought pretty much no one and his wrestling is also untested. Climaco is another phenom prospect at 125. He had that one setback to Yuma & has looked flawless since. He’s so well rounded everywhere and has been beating very high level competition, along with having better training than anyone else in the tourney. Again, really sucks these two have to fight each other because I think both are ufc level & both have bright futures, but climaco is really just that good. I think he will beat Tsuruya as well

Yi vs. Jiahefu
Zha Yi, DEC
I don’t rate either at all but Yi is the clear winner here. His opponent has that nice record but he is your typical padded record chinese journeyman. There’s a chance this is close because again, I don’t rate Yi highly at sll

Tsuruya vs. Siahaan
Rei Tsuruya, TKO, R2
I don’t trust these Indonesian fighters one bit. Bringing them to the US to train isn’t going to help much either. Last years RUFC was pretty telling of their skill level outside of Indonesia. Even if he was skilled, Tsuruya is a top prospect not just in Asia, but in 125 as a whole. This kid was a phenom wrestler in highschool & has grown up doing mma. His wrestling is very good and for only 20 he looks ufc ready. It’s a shame his bracket is so stacked tho

Kiwram vs. Tumendemberel
Nyamjargal Tumendemberel, SUB, R2
This is my favorite non tourney bout of the 4 announced. It pains me Topnoi lost the way he did; he was so close to a finish & made one simple mistake that cost him a ufc contract. His standup is lethal, especially for 125 but he’s too one dimensional. His grappling is very bad and that’s where I think nyamjargal will take advantage. Now, nyamjargals standup is pretty weird. He looks stiff and doesn’t move his head much. To compliment, he has very good power in his hands. Nyamjargal can also grapple, and I think that’s where he will take the fight. I would really like to see the winner of this in the ufc; Ik they often don’t sign these guys on the one off fights but I think the winner could add some good depth to flyweight

Climaco vs. Lee
Mark Climaco, DEC
Lee looks like what his nickname would entail, a phenom. But I do believe that Climaco is the A side here. Solid striking on top of outstanding grappling skills, he’s gotta be weary he doesn’t get reckless though

Yi vs. Jiahefu
Zha Yi, DEC
Yi got cucked in the finals against Lee imo. This should be a relatively easy win for him

Kiwram vs. Tumendemberel
Nyamjargal Tumendemberel, SUB, R1
I’d probably pick Topnoi if his grappling wasn’t so bad

From what I've seen he doesn't seem bad. Seems decent. But he doesn't deserve an opportunity like this, coming off a loss

They could've gave a different korean(you know who I'm talkin  about) this fight. But maybe there was contract issues idk

JHL- Solid fighter with a very small frame lights to fight on the outside solid take down to fence shown finishing ability, but looks to take the fight to the distance solid cardio, questionable opponents. Number one in South Korea but the opponents are questionable with losing records.
