I can't believe I got 8/13 correct. These judges really saved my ass with those robberies, god bless the NSAC Mafia

I had a +3575 ticket but needed albazi to get a finish. Thought he had it in the 3rd and he probably would have if he went for takedowns earlier. I’ve been in one away with so many bets recently. Frustrating month maybe I need to start hitting cash out

I think it was a clear 49-46 for Kai but both guys coasted a bit and Kai should feel just as annoyed at himself as the judges because he could have left no doubt. My pick for albazi sub was based on Kai quitting anytime he finds adversity. Surprised he fought the choke off

Can't believe I haven't seen any comparisons between this main event and O'Malley/Yan since the narrative before the decision was the exact same: young prospect definitely showed he belonged but he's going to lose; only he doesn't

This fight is a good example of the absurdity of using boxings scoring system. No 2 MMA rounds are ever the same. Rds 3 & 4 were good examples of pretty clear rounds that could hypothetically be called 10-8 if the proper definition was used: a clear round. It would be hard to make a case for KKF winning rd 3 or Albazi winning rd 4. rd 5 was the next clearest (for Kai for me) and rounds 1 & 2 were both very close. I had it the same as Mike Bell and I have almost as much problem with Sal's card as Cleary's. When the 1st 2 rounds of any fight are both close, they shouldn't go to the same fighter because getting the fight "right" is more important than getting any single round "right". Judging is an opinion and people's opinions are different. So no robbery, just a close competitive fight. Frustrating I agree but that's why Dana is right when he says don't leave it up to the judges.

I dunno if I have a weird perspective but I think Albazi won, he was directing most of the tempo of the fight. Won the grappling exchanges and KKF didn't look or comfortable fighting backwards. I believe this result was the correct one because now we get to see what is Albazi's true skill ceiling. I think he is going to have major problems against a fighter who knows how to fight backwards and use that constant agression against him.
GSP style timed double legs in the open would complete Albazi's game and save him a lot of energy for the later rounds.

Rewatched the fight, pausing and rewinding at moments and did a complete breakdown.

Albazi dominated him.

Gotta feel bad for Kai. Fought all the way up to Moreno then lost on a body kick, then getting robbed by Albazi. Hopefully he gets back up to speed and doesn’t become one of the guys who go from title contender to gatekeeper.

That being said, I’ll have to rewatch the fight as well.

I will say this very simply for anyone who thinks KKF was absolutely robbed:

You CANNOT spend an entire round on the ground and then miss +70% of your significant strikes across the other 4 rounds and expect to win.

65-70% of ever KKF fight is him swinging at air. A lot of his punches come close to landing but dont.

Axafin if he was dictating the pace of the fight he wouldn’t have been outlanded by so much. He was walking forward and barely doing anything. Foppa chances are if you throw twice as often as your opponent you’ll miss more often than your opponent so I don’t get what point your making but it’s a nonsense

Haven't watched the card yet because I was away this weekend. I went 9-4 & still lost my parlay because of Jamie malarkey of course 😂

Always skip biggest favourites in parlays. I straight bet Muhammad and parlayed Amir, Alex, Zaleski, Castaneda, Miller, Santos and Silva. $$

I dont see how Perreira can avoir being taked down and grinded to a decision like Blachowich did with Adesanya. For sure Perreira can cut him when he shoot and knock him out cold but I doubt it happen.

Well perreira couldn’t train wrestling for the first izzy fight because of a broken finger I think and he’s a natural light heavyweight so won’t just be overpowered by Jan. also Jan lost to glover and hoover will definitely be the main person training with Alex in this camp
