Yan vs. Dvalishvili
Petr Yan, TKO, R2
I think the last fight with O'Malley will, if anything, have lit a fire under Yan's ass. I think we'll see a more gritty version of Yan in this fight, with him pushing an aggressive pace on Merab. This is a high stakes situation, not only because of the title implications attached to the fight, but because if Yan is content to coast and allows Merab to stifle him and steal lacklustre rounds largely on control time, it could be a slippery slope from here. I do think Merab is in trouble here, though. Although his speed on the double-leg off the jab is blinding, he's at a huge risk of getting hurt every time he's on the backfoot because he begins to throw looping haymakers that Yan frankly won't even need additional "data-downloading" time for - just clean, down-the-pipe southpaw left hands. Should be a good fight for the entirety of its duration, which I presume will not be very long.

Ramos vs. Lingo
Ricardo Ramos, TKO, R2
I did not think Ramos was that young. He's slick on the counter.

Krylov vs. Spann
Nikita Krylov, TKO, R1
Virtually the same story as the last fight, but Krylov will probably be more aggressive given the 3-round nature of this. I think he can walk through the fire and put Spann out.

Ayy

Thanks bro. Good insight.

Interesting that money has come in on Romanov and Volokov is now the underdog.

Someone knows something.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 445 Points   |   Tied for 1339th

Yan vs. Dvalishvili
Merab Dvalishvili, DEC
I'm doing terrible this year on predictions, especially main events so this is why I'm picking Merab. I really want Yan to win so if I pick him & he loses I'll be double bummed. This way no matter what happens I'll be happy.

Volkov vs. Romanov
Alexandr Romanov, DEC
I know Romanov gassed in his last fight but that's because he was fighting in high altitude and suplexing tybura over & over in the first round. Volkov struggles against grapplers so I'm leaning Romanov

Nurmagomedov vs. Martinez
Said Nurmagomedov, SUB, R1
Martinez is good but I feel like he doesn't have the offensive grappling threat to beat Said.

Petrino vs. Turkalj
Vitor Petrino, TKO, R1
I feel like if Vitor doesn't win in rd 1 he'll just get taken down over & over but he's a power house & Anton is very hittable

Ramos vs. Lingo
Ricardo Ramos, TKO, R1
This is my most confident pick so what'll probably happen is Ramos will go for a spinning elbow and end up getting his back taken & choked out

Krylov vs. Spann
Nikita Krylov, TKO, R1
If I pick spann then krylov will ko him. If I pick krylov then spann will guillotine him. I don't trust either guys fight IQ & I don't trust spanns chin at all

Brzeski vs. Williams
Karl Williams, DEC
Striker vs grappler matchup I'll lean the grappler in a heavyweight fight

Aldrich vs. Lipski
JJ Aldrich, DEC
JJ seems to improve every fight. Even tho she lost to blanchfield shes looked the best against her so far

Bautista vs. Cannetti
Mario Bautista, SUB, R2
I picked cannetti his last to fights when he was a pretty big underdog but I can't do it here. Bautista is way better than punching bag moutino & randy "the quitter" Costa. Cannetti is dangerous early & Bautista hasnt fought that good of competition after getting ko'd by trevin "10 punches a fight'' jones so I'll probably end up getting this wrong too

Nam vs. Silva
Tyson Nam, TKO, R1
Tough fight to pick. It's hard to pick a 39 year old flyweight but he has power in his hands & idk how good Silva is considering he beat 2 flyweights who don't belong in the ufc & lost to 2 ranked flyweights

Gravely vs. Henry
Tony Gravely, DEC
I can't ever tell with either guy. Sometimes they look good. Sometimes they look trash. I'm going with gravely who has better wrestling & Henry doesn't have much power

Harris vs. Nurmagomedov
Carlston Harris, SUB, R2
Harris has beaten better guys than Nurmagomedov. Harris seems more dangerous everywhere

Assunção vs. Grant
Davey Grant, TKO, R3
I don't think Assuncao can handle the power of Davey Grant

Dumas vs. Fremd
Sedriques Dumas, SUB, R1
Fremd got Guillotined out of nowhere by Gore I can see a similar thing happening to him here. Hopefully Dumas doesn't turn out to be a contender series bum

Predictions: 7 of 13 Winners, 1 Perfect, 390 Points   |   Tied for 2178th

Yan vs. Dvalishvili
Petr Yan, TKO, R2
I’ve never wanted someone to win a fight more than Yan in this one, please make it happen bro. You need this one. I think he can defend the majority of takedowns and absolutely piece up Merab on the feet

Volkov vs. Romanov
Alexander Volkov, DEC
I would consider picking Romanov if he had better cardio but alas he does not. Volkov loses round 1 but absolutely dominates the rest of the fight

Nurmagomedov vs. Martinez
Said Nurmagomedov, DEC
Said is a beast, I’ve been keeping an eye on him for a while. I think a time will come where I pick someone else but for now I still gotta go with my guy

Petrino vs. Turkalj
Anton Turkalj, SUB, R2
Hard one to pick here. Petrino has devastating power but really bad technique and cardio. His wrestling defense looked ok but I think if Anton can get a hold of him and he’s tired it’s over

Ramos vs. Lingo
Ricardo Ramos, SUB, R2
Mismatch for Ramos

Krylov vs. Spann
Nikita Krylov, TKO, R2
Different date, same fight

Bautista vs. Cannetti
Mario Bautista, SUB, R2
Serious mismatch, Bautista will crush Guido wherever the fight goes

Nam vs. Silva
Tyson Nam, DEC
Close fight but I gotta favor Nam here

Gravely vs. Henry
Tony Gravely, DEC
Not convinced either way but Henry looked so bad against Raphael that I’m hesitant to pick him

Harris vs. Nurmagomedov
Carlston Harris, SUB, R1
Abubakar is prone to getting submitted and Harris has plenty of submission skills and powerful striking

Assunção vs. Grant
Davey Grant, TKO, R2
This should be a left hook KO for Dangerous Davey

Dumas vs. Fremd
Sedriques Dumas, TKO, R1
RIP Fremds ufc career

I hope mezzor's suspension is over in the next few days, he's a big part of why I switched from Gane to Jones. We need his locks.

In the Bautista fight, I think it's better to play the under 2.5 rounds line or even Bautista ITD.

Dumas ML seems like a good one as well. Fremd did well against Hernandez, but being submitted by Gore is not a good look at all.

Good matchup for Ramos. Should be a good win for him. Really playable at 1.40 odds.

Predictions: 5 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 350 Points   |   Tied for 3001st

Assunção vs. Grant
Raphael Assunção, DEC
Davey Grant fights like Connor McGregor walks around. Just wings hooks. Maybe if he level changes he can land a shot like Cody. Assuncao put the fear in Victor Henry. He also beat all the champions. Assuncao should really go for takedowns.

-Betfirst
-Unibet

Both these bookies have plays like this, goodluck bruv

Yan vs. Dvalishvili
Petr Yan, TKO, R4
Okay so I'm unbeaten in past headline picks since 2023. 7-0 officially and I'm going to pick Yan without confidence because Yan definitely won his last L's but biased jidges robbed him. I feel like Yan been really training cause he barely went back to Russia and been training in Thailand this whole time. A late Yan stoppage however wins. Merab full 5 rounds? Hmmm sus gas tank and Yan can definitely go 5 rounds. Merab's TD's are not so great and Aldo did really well, wish he just used his calf kicks more. Yan can really pull this I swear.

Dumas vs. Fremd
Sedriques Dumas, SUB, R1
Dumas is really an impressive lad and this week's card is full of traps and potential robberies of russian fighters so I'll play Dumas with mext weeks card in a main parlay. Stay tuned👀👀

Andrew

I had 2 x $20,000 parlays in play

One lost because I had Valentina by decision (Hedged with her by KO)

The other lost because I had the Jones fight to have 1 takedown and to go to R2.

Lost 20k in potential wins in the very last leg of both. You have no idea how salty I was. Especially with that pathetic clown Gane who couldn't be bothered to lift his arms and defend a choke.

I like Bautista. I think he is very skilled. But he is chinny and has bsd weight cuts imo.

I am leaving him the hell out of all my parlays this week.
