They’re not gonna cut Yan if he loses. He put on one of the best fights of 2021 against Sandhagen for his second belt and then lost 2 controversial decisions. If Pedro is still around going 1-4-1 whilst not even being in the top 10, they’re not getting rid of Yan for going 1-3-1 whilst being in the top 2 of the division.

Good main event. It's a pretty straight forward fight. Merab is going to be Merab. It's all about Yan's wrestling defense and how it holds up because he is better everywhere else than Merab.

Said Vs. Martinez a fun & exciting banger no doubt, but Nurmagomedov fought a step down/gate kept last fight right after coming off a win, not a loss. He deserves to be fighting up not down, fighting Yadong would make more sense.

Great fight. Martinez gets a big name fight. Jonathan looks like a ghost at weigh ins and a world cup soccer player in the cage. Legs are massive. Needs to land some head kicks. Said is too crafty. He will find a way to break your defense.

Petr Yan is a easy fight, if he was a hard fight he be winning , Merab is on a 8 fights winstreak because Sterling and Merab don’t know how to lose

Don't underestimate 5 round Yan. His stand up is vastly superior to Merab and if the O'Malley fight is indicative of anything Yan has done a lot of work to fix the holes in his grappling game.

Merab is definitely going to steal the rounds where Yan is downloading reads, but I gotta think Yan's gonna start tagging him more and more. And when Merab goes for the takedowns, I think Yan's got the offensive grappling to hang there too.

Sterling is super underrated because he's so hateable. But his grappling is next level, which won him the rematch with Yan. Merab is a big notch below Sterling skillwise, but makes up for it with relentlessness and cardio. But I dont think thats enough against Yan.
