**** outta here with your ******** ass downvotes. Who here actually thinks Aguilar vs Taira is good matchmaking? Why the **** would you feed a young guy coming off the contender series to ANOTHER god damn prospect??? Taira needs to fight someone ranked and climb up the rankings, not take out another ******* young guy on the rise. He gains literally NOTHING from beating JSA. The only reason I'm even remotely for this fight happening is because I think this will be a fun decent level grappling matchup and also I don't believe Aguilar has a very high ceiling or will go very far, but that's even MORE reason to not feed him to the wolves immediately.

It’s just a showcase spot for taira. He’s already proven he’s legit so now he fights a step down so he can style on them in “home” territory. Plus, he’s kind of green anyways, this is just good experience

Why at Aguilar's expense though? He's pretty green himself and not very good as we saw on DWCS, but I'd think that the UFC would want to build up one of the few Mexican talents they have.... especially considering he's only 26 and in the Brandon Moreno division

Kyle Nelson is from my town, but fights out of wherever now. My friend use to train with him through Muskoka Kickboxing, roll with him all the time.

His loss to Matt Sayles says the most, and the worst about him. This was a favorable match-up for him, and Sayles is a striker who ended up getting his first submission win in the 3rd round against Kyle Nelson. It's hard to pick him in any fight.

Dana has already come out and stated how UFC wants a superstar Japanese fighter. Us die hards already know it's Taira, but by giving him the layup here he has an easy chance to win in dominant fashion to easily gain new casuals in that region.

On another note - super stoked to see Ho Choi return!
