Yeah I just seen JDM fight for the first time im fairly new to UFC and only really know the big named fighters but damn id be surprised if he didn't win now imo from what ive seen hes a lock.

JDM is actually the number 1 LOCK of this card, if your not putting money on him... ur basically losing money

Islam should win too, but hes fighting Volk, and we all know how good he is... Islam has the advantage on the ground... if the fight stays on the feet... hes not touching Volk, plus is harder to punch down. Id say Volk being a "short guy" its actually his biggest advantage, it will be harder to take him down than Islam thinks, gravity comes to work in these situations.. is way easier to take someone down who is tall and Skinny (charles) than someone whos short and muscled (volk).. hes trainning at BagTao, they have some elite wrestling, if hes only trainning his defensive wrestling, TDD DEFENSE, hes doing the right thing, cos no matter what kind of train you have, it wont help you on the ground with Islam... just look at Weili vs Esparza, she did her whole training camp there ... and he brought in Craig Jones
 PLUS, if it goes to the distance, could we see a ROBBERY? 🤔
And in some recent interviews... Islam is talking about keeping the fight on the feet cos he wants to KO Volk, lets just hope hes playing mind games... cos that wont go well for him, If Khabib was still trainning him.. he would never let Islam do that... if wrestling is your biggest strenght you should use it( kahbib words)

On the other hand, JDM is better than Randy everywhere ... and I mean everywhere, first of all he lost to Khaos, i dont even know how they gave that fight to him... and a guy that goes to the DISTANCE with Trinaldo and Gooden... lets just say if JDM fights Trinaldo, that fight ends in the first 3 minutes... KO

JDM is the lock of the card, he will put a show for the home crowd ... could we see some wrestling? We know he can wrestle .. he knows how to check leg kicks, we saw that against Roberts.. Randys only advantage in his reach, but that wont be a problem for the best boxer in the UFC, this fight will basically be Randy vs Luque... we all know how that went for Randy

I think they are both locks but Islam winning is guaranteed and it won't be a decision either. I don't judge how big a lock is by the Tapology vote % like you. 

Volk has zero path to victory, he can't even ko featherweights, submission threats? No. His only chance is to outstrike for 5 rounds while defending takedowns for 25 minutes. Once in top control he will get smothered, Islam will do whatever he wants. Only people picking Volk here are the emotional ones going with their "feelings" again. And I also think Islam can easily beat Volk's stand up 🙂

Volk has no chance either, unless Islam suddenly decides to just stand and eat jabs for 25 min. The fact you think Volk has a chance at defending the takedowns is funny though. 

Volk can easily steal the first 2 rounds... I dont think Islam will be able to take him down that easily

Dont get me wrong, I have alot of money on Islam too, but Andrew said that Islam is a bigger lock than JDM... when thats just not true.. hes only saying that cos he made a 7k parlay (umar+Islam)

Islam is the least hit guy in the UFC. That's official.

I know Volk is good but Makhachev is a much better fighter and you'll see levels. I look forward to making a big bag when Volk gets finished.

You guys are outrageous. Islam should probably be a bigger favorite than JDM, but both are pretty clear favorites. That said, neither guy is a "lock". Neither of these fights are mismatches.

Jack will have to find range constantly vs a much longer Brown who uses lots of footwork, throws plenty of kicks and doesn't usually put together more than 2 strikes at a time. It's historically a difficult striking style paired with the attributes of length and footwork that Brown has for boxing based strikers like JDM, think Aljo vs Yan for large portions was striking and Yan struggled a lot to get off, set up and find his rhythm. Jack's also young and Brown brings a lot to the table JDM hasn't fought against before ontop of having lots of experience.

Islam vs Volk is tough because we haven't seen Volk vs any top flight wrestlers besides Chad Mendes who was coming off bad knockout losses and 2 year PED suspension, so it doesn't tell us much. We've seen Islam struggle to dominate with his wrestling vs smaller men before in Egoyan (arguably outwrestled Islam), Chris Wade (won the first round vs Islam ending it ontop and kept it competitive through the 2nd on the mat but succumbed to fatigue in the 3rd) and Arman Tsarukyan (first two rounds were razor close and wrestling exchanges neck and neck for the 22 year old on short notice until he gassed in the 3rd). What do all 3 of these guys have in common with Volk? They all fought at 145lbs before and have wrestling bases. Where Volk differs? He doesn't gas out and thats while consistently maintaining over a 2x higher strike output than Islam, especially when you take into consideration how many 5 round affairs Volks been in that's tremendous cardio. 

Islam should be a bigger favorite, which he is at -450 which I'd say there isn't much value on betting. Islam is just way bigger and Volk does really lack the power to stop him from getting imposed upon. The size difference is nutty. Jack at -300 feels about right too, Randy Brown is a clear step up from Robert's and Emeev as a striker. 

You also said Islam can EASILY beat Volk stand up...

His striking looked awful against Oliveira... If Volk fights, for exemple like Topouria(against Mitchell) keeping a very low stance and keeping the distance, he can steal some rounds... Mitchel  could only take him down in the last 30sec

But I hope Islam destroys Volk... thats not my point here...

I said this before 280 as well, too many people sleeping on Islam s striking and what happened? He dropped Charles. Just wait and see 🙂

We know who the locks are and we're not afraid to pull the trigger so take your doubt away from us.

Islam is the least hit guy for good reason, because he hardly engages in striking at all, he almost entirely focuses on defense. 2.37 strikes landed a minute on average to .95 strikes absorbed. Also, and this is important to note...guys are terrified to commit to strikes vs him because they don't want to get taken down. It isn't as if he's he's out there slipping and blocking strikes masterfully and setting up slick combinations while exchanging. Volk lands almost 3x as many strikes per minute at 6.79 with nearly the same accuracy level as Islam. I don't think Islam's striking should be slept on but he's pretty clearly a lesser striker standing to Volk.

Might get deported from Australia for saying this, but I think Islam is a "bigger lock" than JDM, Volk is the best striker in MMA history IMO, but that just doesn't matter when you have Islam shooting at your legs, And It also not like Volks defensive grappling is perfect, Exact same matchup as Khabib last 4-5 fights and you see what happen

Also for the record, I think JDM will still win most likely, I think Randy Brown is a good boxing, But JDM is a great boxer, But if it two guys boxer, **** can happen where you lose compare to wresling
