Okay it seems Fiore is the better "prospect" Nick on this card despite his losses. I may have overrated Aguirre (and Rebecki) a bit

I will say Rebeckis striking looked better here than the tape I saw on him. Especially the amount of body punching. That's apparently a rare and elite skill if you become an MMA fighter compared to fighting in a striking combat sports.

These guys are criticizing the guard play like it was some sort of strategical game plan, rather than a survival tool. The guy has never been out of rd 1 and is getting beat up for the first time in his career. A large portion of MMA fighters quit the sport the first time they go through that experience, just look at all the 10-1, retired fighters you can find if you scrawl through records on Tap.

Lost a bit of my hype on rebecki

I thought this fight was going to be don shainis and Sodiq yussuf 2.0 due to whole form hyping rebecki as the best prospect of the contender but rebecki couldnt find the finish and I feel he should have looked for a submission on the top and ground and pounded on him more

I think he felt like he was just way better than Fiore and was trying to run thru him in the first round. Seen guys lose like that on the mat all the time in wrestling.
