In my opinion Jackson has a lot of opportunities in this fight. And although initially in his first fights of his second run in the UFC it could be seen that he did not have a level much above the average talent in the weight class (Jackson is practically average level fighter in striking and average level fighter in grappling), I think that His winning streak and overcoming family tragedies have brought out the best in him as a fighter. Ige is on a long losing streak, but against Top 10 fighters. While Ige hasn't looked as good against Ranked fighters, Dan "50K" Ige has been a true destroyer of unranked fighters (some were very good, some were not UFC). level). And his highlights victories were against Tucker, Henry, Aguilar. It is a fight where both come at different momentums and honestly both fighters have concrete chances to win.

The middle path to Nirvana is the goal for all of us.
But not until we have experienced every luxury the world has to offer and crushed our enemies. Give me 12 months to do just that and I will join you in seeking enlightenment.

Do you by any chance live in Ontario or Alberta? That would explain why the bookies sneakily tried to take advantage of the Krause scandal and ban betting in that state.

Damon Jackson takes Ige down in the first round and puts him in a rear naked choke, Ige taps faster than Charles Oliveira.

I'll watch just about any card the UFC puts on at this point, but on paper, this one is up there with some of the worst.

I think Umar Nurmagomedov vs Raoni Barcelos and Javid Basharat vs Mateus Mendoca are tremendous fights, really. Ige vs Damon Jackson is solid, two guys who are top 15ish, neither really has legitimate top 10 potential though. Rebecki is really good but his opponent is a mismatched last minute replacement Rookie. Gastelum vs Imavov is cool, should be a fight similar to Dricus vs Till where the new generation of MW gets to take out a declining "name" in the division, similarly with Gregory Rodrigues vs Tavares coming up on 283.
All in all it's about an average level Fight Night, like 5-6/10n I was most excited for Geoff Neal vs Shavkat but that got pulled back until March. Usually if there's 5 quality fights in a FN card it's above average to me

You are now seeing the draw backs of having to run so many cards throughout the calendar year. During the pandemic, this wasn't as noticeable due to so many fights getting cancelled and how fighters would just move to another card later on after they passed protocol (not to mention we were just happy to have a sport to watch). It has gotten to a point now where (and no offense to any fighter currently signed), the UFC is forced to sign fighters they would normally not sign or would wait until they had some more fights under their belts. The shield cannot afford to wait as long with the high demand of fights week in and week out. So, what they do is throw 1 really good fight on a card, 2 or 3 okay fights, and the rest is fodder. If any of the really good or okay fights fall off, the card is ******.

I actually agree with you on the Alhassan vs Ribeiro fight. One of them is getting knocked out, most likely. I will take the younger, taller, and longer fighter at +110 over the 37 year old who has seen better days.

Don't get me wrong - I'm definitely looking forward to watching the fights. Even if the majority of the matchups aren't that exciting, there are a lot of guys that I'm interested in seeing perform: Basharat & Rebecki, in particular. I'm okay with the number of cards. I would be less critical if this was the third of a string of 6 straight cards instead of the the first card back after 4 weeks off! I guess they figured everyone would be jonesing for fights and they could get away with anything! :-)
