After suffering a heart attack during a 5-round sparring session with Joilton Lutterbach in June 2021, ex-UFC fighter Erick Silva decides to retire and is now fully dedicated to his career in the stock market.
According to his doctor, the heart attack happened due to aortic thrombosis (probably as a lingering consequence of his COVID-19 infection back in April 2020).
