I think given Miocic's age, UFC is 'tryin' to give Jones a fight he should be able to win (as opposed to Gane), that way Ngannou & Jones unify later on

I wouldn’t think beating Derrick Lewis even for an interim championship and losing to NGannou, is enough to garner a Heavyweight fight with arguably the greatest fighter of all time.

Yeah Francis’ return is questionable indeed.

Well…let’s give it up to the new future Heavyweight champ - Jailton Almeida!

what did you expect, ofcourse im picking hernandez. i honestly could see billy landing so many strikes in round 3 due to alex being so easy to touch. its not a cardio issue, i promise that. its not a chin issue, i promise that. hes kinda like a punching bag somewhat. but he is the way better athlete. hes faster, more power. Billy has the heart though. billy has a good chin too. but im gonna pick Alexander 100%. i actually think wrestling billy wouldnt be a bad option

Billy vs Alex

Predictions: 3 of 5 Winners, 2 Perfect, 265 Points   |   Tied for 4466th

Yikes. I’ve seen some bad matchups on paper, but this one gets more unfair the more you think about it…

The chances of Alex winning this are slim. Very slim. Alex is very gifted athletically and very well rounded, but his main weakness is that he doesn’t know how to deal with a good counter striker, or an opponent that won’t give him the space to apply his offense. Happened with Moises, happened with Dober, happened with Moicano, happened with Cerrone. When he’s getting pushed back, he’s losing, 10/10 times. So what ******* chance does he have against someone like Quarantillo? He’s gonna get picked apart,

I do personally believe Alex has underrated wrestling ability, but he never really uses it and unless he has to. It’s frankly quite frustrating seeing a clearly gifted lightweight make the same mistakes over and over again.

Also, Alex is pretty ******* massive for a lightweight. I know he originally fought at featherweight, but that was years ago. I don’t know if his heavy physique can really handle that hard of a weight cut this late into his career, especially against a cardio machine like Billy. If Alex can’t knock him out early, he is going to gas, guaranteed. This is a 7 to 3 matchup in my eyes, if I were a betting man I’d put my ******* house on Billy.

Du Plessis is either gonna beat the **** out of till or till is gonna find the ko when du Plessis comes running in with his chin exposed. But till doesn't have good finishing ability and will probably pull out before the fight happens

It will be like the Masvidal KO, just more violent

Shahbazyan vs. Lungiambula
Edmen Shahbazyan, SUB, R1
Edmen has all the skills necessary to win any way he wants but if he eats one on the chin he's getting folded in half

Quarantillo vs. Hernandez
Billy Quarantillo, TKO, R3
Think Alex should have stayed at LW, not sure if the extra 10lbs cut will be good for his style. I think by the 3rd round he'll be gassed and finished.

You're forgetting that Lawler fought Barbarena over the summer (lost by second round TKO). Ponzi has dropped two in a row to Geoff Neal and Michel Pereira, so the UFC probably wants him to rebound off of an aging and beloved vet. The fight business is cruel sometimes.

Till vs. Du Plessis
Darren Till, DEC
If Till can’t beat Dricus than he is truly screwed. I’m a big Dricus fan but I think Till can land better shots when Dricus comes in with his poor defense. The only thing I’m concerned with when it comes to Till is the mental game, it’s always the mental issues that crumble him. That has been his Achilles heel, when he fights well he’s able to be competitive with guys like Whittaker. But then he proceeds to lose to Brunson. It’s just really hard to call Till’s fights because you don’t know what you’re gonna get. For now I’ll go with him but that might change
