I agree that downtime should be a reason to drop out of the Top 15 in the UFC, but Heavyweights move slower (no pun intended). Generally, in the highest weight category, fighters have at most 2 fights per year, even many (especially ranked fighters) fight at most 1 time a year. I remember Pavlovich staying in the top 15 without fighting a single fight in over 800 days, he is currently a Top 5 and contender, but that didn't change the fact that he hadn't fought in almost 2 1/2 years.
Stipe hasn't fought since early 2021, but in the UFC the former champions (especially those who had significant reigns in their weight classes like Stipe in HW, Jon Jones in LHW, Aldo in FW or Dominick Cruz in BW) have a special treatment regarding the requirements to have a title shot, that is why Jon Jones will have a title shot in his HW debut after not fighting in 3 years, but personally I do not consider it unfair and with the vacant title is the perfect time for Bones to fight for the HW Title.

I didn't say that Jones does not deserve a titleshot, I said that Miocic does not. Jones left at the top took some time of, regened so it be risky but its natural that he starts at the top again. Just like with Randy Couture, its no brainer to put him vs Tim Sylvia in his comeback fight in Heavyweight. But for Stipe I think he would have to face Sergei Pavlovich or Curtis Blaydes to get another titleshot.

Agreed stipe acts entitled he already got his immediate rematch against Cormier. After that loss he stopped being classed as a dominant champion and if you’re not a dominant champion you don’t deserve immediate rematches. I believe being inactive doubles the speed that an aging fighter drops off because the fighter themselves doesn’t realise the improvements other fighters are making. While the sport is evolving stipe has been slowly getting worse. I think any of the top 5-6 starch him inside 3 rounds and he l will look very slow in his next fight

Still I think Miocic vs Jones/Gane would sell a ****ton of ppv so I think UFC is gonna find a date between 285 and July PPV to get Stipe vs someone below top6 like mentioned before, Tybura just to show "Haha you thought Stipe is totally washed, you were all wrong, little pseudoexperts" so basicly they don't have to sell Jones/Gane vs Miocic with Miocic being after a loss brutal one at that

I know Robocop's KO loss on the Contender Series was a little while ago now and the mf'er has shown a strong chin since... But HOW can a roided to the gills Brazillian Cyborg get KO'd by a dude who had CM Punk levels of success against Micky Gall & couldn't survive a round with Ian Gary?!

Robocop is awesome but for sure chinny, sometimes guys with bad chins just have nights where they hold up well for whatever reason. I certainly think Robocop has improved a lot in the last year and couple years. However, not just the contender series KO loss, he was knocked out in his MMA debut, he was rocked vs Park Jun Yong who isn't known for hitting hard and in his ACB fight he was rocked badly and almost KOd by a not so great guy too.

Yes, I agree with you on inactive time and that Stipe should at least get a fight against some other top 5 before thinking about a title shot. But we know how the UFC moves and if there is a possibility that Jones becomes a champion in a second weight category and his first defense is against Stipe, who is the Heavyweight champion who has won the most title defenses in the UFC. The UFC is going to want to make that fight 100% because of the impact it could have on the UFC's historical records. In my opinion when Dominick Cruz fought Henry Cejudo and TJ Dillashaw vs. Sterling they were undeserved title shots by the UFC to pit their current champions against former champions with an already established trajectory and legacy in the UFC (the Aldo vs. Yan could enter the same category) in order to establish the figure of a new monarch in the category or to win the former champion, the UFC would have someone who is already better known to the general MMA public as champion.
I agree with you that if Miocic fights the winner of Jones vs. Win would be an undeserved title shot.
P.S: The result of Aldo vs. Moraes could have been controversial, but I feel like that doesn't lead to a title shot for an Aldo who was 0-1 in the weight class, the UFC was perfectly able to place Petr Yan against Sterling in UFC 252 or UFC 253 (taking into account that Sterling quickly beat Cory Sandhagen a month before the Yan and Aldo fight). The most curious thing of all was Dana White criticizing the judges for their verdict in the Aldo vs. Moraes: when a common fighter receives a controversial verdict it is the fault of the judges but when a Dana's Golden Boy receives a controversial verdict it is the other fighter's fault for not having a fight plan with more action

Robocop's reactions to being hit are much better. He's almost becoming one of those Glover type guys that needs to suffer some damage before he can fight to his best. He'll struggle against highly technical guys providing he doesn't have a size advantage - but Brunno ain't that guy. He's on this card to be finished in 2 rounds or less.

How the **** is robocop chinny did you guys watch that last fight, his forehead looked like an opened vjayjay. He definitely gets hit but he does a lot of damage himself. I can’t say he is chinny especially after his last fight. That’s just me tho

The Glover odds seem like a gift to me. I believed in Glover against Jan and that worked out beautifully. I stuck by Glover for Jiri and he gave me a rollercoaster ride (and a slap in the face in the 5th)... But is Jamahal really as good as either as those guys? His record and experience would suggest not. I'm unconvinced that Jamahal can stuff the takedowns all night or flatline KO Glover - and if he doesn't flatline KO Glover then zombie Glover WILL grab a leg and ride out the round/sub Jamahal anytime Jamahal lands. Glover is ruthless on the ground, smashing teeth out and taking necks for fun.

43 year olds coming off of 5 round wars are never safe bets. If Glover gets Jamahal down he probably wins, if he gets caught in the process or struggles to secure takedowns he's ******, dead in the water probably. It feels kind of coinflippy to me personally.
