Teixeira vs. Hill
Glover Teixeira, SUB, R2
If Jiri couldn't put Glover out cold, I highly doubt Hill will be able to finish him off. While Glover has been rocked on feet and nearly finished for much of his current run, the man has displayed brutal assimilation at key moments and the ability to take the fight to the ground where it is territory that is most convenient for him instead to kill or be killed standing as other fighters tend to look for when they are hurt. Hill has good hands, but is not characterized by excellent TDD or grappling defense. Glover has a great single leg and the ability to mix common takedowns with trips and throws, if Glover takes the fight to the ground he will find the submission pretty quickly.

They keep having figgy and moreno fight each other over and over again for the belt. So why can't the literal GOAT of the division get his title shot? Ngannou ran away, Stipe by default should have dibs for the next title shot. Instead they gave it to a steroid cheat and Cyril freaking Gane.
It's just ****** up how they undermine and ignore this man so much when he broke all of their records then saves lives on his off time. UFC just salty that stipe does firefighting then breaks all their company records. Salty ass dana White being the ***** he is. Dana is a smart businessman and promoter, but he is a serious flop as a human being. **** that guy.

I got 5 down votes for that Stipe take but everything I said was the truth. He is 40, he will be 41 by the time he'd fight the winner of Gane vs Jones and would have sat out for over 2 years. His last fight was against N'Gannou where he was viciously thrown around and knocked unconscious. Before that he had 3 wars with Cormier, one where he was knocked out and in the other 2 where he was rocked and knocked down by Cormier. Meanwhile Curtis Blaydes has won 7 of his last 8 and Pavlovitch has won 5 in a row by 1st round knockout. How is the winner of Blaydes vs Pavlovitch not more deserving at this point? And why would anyone think a guy who's 41 coming off a 2+ year layoff and tons of head trauma in all his most recent bouts should be given a title shot based off of accomplishments from 3+ years ago?

I'll take all the down votes, I troll to intentionally get them sometimes, who cares. I'm genuinely trying to ask questions and discuss, we don't have to agree but I haven't heard a single intelligent response. Sure Stipe was arguably the best HW in UFC history, he's a great man with an honorable career path, I respect him and in no way am I trying to discredit his career or character.

You wouldn't say that if you watched his fight against OSP, it was very obvious he was there for show up money and didn't even want risk getting t a single bruising

Shogun Ihor is pretty easy to gameplan. You watch weigh ins to see if they let Shogun juice. Then if Ihor gasses out in/after first round and the odds are good, livebet Shogun. Otherwise it will end by the old man being on the receiving end of a knockout, potentially a brutal one.

Yes, I agree, but Potieria is def not here for the fight of his life.
You can watch him vs Nicolae Negumereanu, he is on the same level with Rua. Event is in Brasil. Let the oldman shoot some HGH lol and retire

From what I understood the guy who was talking about Stipe deserving a titleshot was saying that due to Stipe being a Heavyweight goat he should be 1st in line for title. And I say :
Stipe should drop in rankings for not fighting not proceed to undeserved titleshot. How is Miocic still a numero dos? He should be occupying Tybura's spot at number 10 for inactivity. Yes Tybura at 9th is a crime but not fighting for 2 years is a bigger crime say whatever thr **** you want, throw as many insults at me as you want I won't change my mind, UFC rankings are full of sh't how is Abrek still 15th? I wanna ******* know aswell

I remember that against Tyson Pedro (who was ranked at the time and had just lost to OSP when he was about to finish him) Shogun took a beating in the first round and get a comeback TKO win in the last round. Ihor was a bronze medalist at the Combat Sambo World Championship and has a Wild Style Striking and Grappling that is common on Eastern European circuits, but in his last fight you could see his lacks in cardio. If Potieria fails to KO Rua in the first 7 minutes of the fight, I see Shogun getting an easy TKO win against an exhausted Ihor. Maybe Shogun looked bad in his last 2 fights, but in his last fight and in front of the Brazilian public, he can be expected to have a better performance. Still the matchup is perfect for the last fight scenario: get brutally finished in the first round or get a finish to retire victorious in front of his crowd. It's no coincidence that the UFC put Shogun up against an 0-1 in UFC Fighter and not against some rising prospect or gatekeeper in the division for his last fight.

I mean the way he won the title is honestly already disqualifying him from being the goat. He beat Bum rushing Fabricio Werdum and undersized Daniel Cormier. DC is great if not for Cain he would be the heavyweight goat I am sure but as it stands, Velasquez is greater than Miocic 100%
