Please bring back PRIDE rules for Shogun's final fight. I want to see flying head stomps and head kicks on a grounded opponent. I want to see Ilhor completely knocked out cold with yellow and green confetti pouring down from the arena in Rio for the legend that is Mauricio Shogun Rua as his home country sends him off to retirement at the end of the prelims.
Shogun, Wanderlei, Rampage, Fedor, Crocop, Nogueira brothers... these guys all made me a fan of the sport. These guys were the absolute best in the world in the early 2000's. For all you younger fans, in the early 2000's, the UFC was not the number one organization, PRIDE was. Dana would probably tell you that himself if you asked him now.

This should be a washing in favor of Bonfim. Very excited to see how he deals with Lazzez's kickboxing though.
Almeida vs. Abdurakhimov

I don't see Shamil offering anything mildly threatening to Almeida tbh. Although it is HW, and there's always that one-shot x-factor. That said, I highly, highly doubt we'll see it in action here.
McKinney vs. Bonfim
Terrance McKinney, TKO, R1
Close, close fight. Bonfim is tough, but he's neither as fast nor as explosive as McKinney. He is very bouncy on his feet though, and that may benefit him here, but honestly it's just a matter of time before Terrence lands his straight left. I don't see Bonfim surviving that. McKinney nearly put Dober out, so I could definitely see him sparking Ismael here.

super confident in moises and rodrigues
moderately confident in gabriel bonfim and walker
as far as burns vs magny goes, I don't think there's going to be lots of striking exchanges. burns takes him down and does whatever he wants to do to him, he's been able to outwrestle and outgrapple far better grapplers than magny (gunnar, woodley, oam and even chimaev was reluctant to stay on the ground with him) meanwhile magny's "run" so far has been him exploiting super favorable matchups (d-rod was winning the fight and simply threw it away, max griffin doesn't have good defensive grappling, robbie lawler no comment, jingliang has non existent defensive grappling) infact, this fight is such a lock I'm going to bet on it without even watching tape - off of instinct i'm sure burns is winning
only point of contention about this matchup is if it goes to the judges, will they get it right? not many people talked about this on the last card but one judge gave a round to mendonca against basharat which is just insane to think about, conclusion is judges are STILL absolute dog**** and there's no sign of improvement so tread carefully
