For once I have to agree with Bananas.

Chandler is here for a good time, not a long time.

He is not looking to wrestle and even if he gets it down once or twice I can't see him finishing Poirier there

If Izzy is back on the sauce remember what he did to Costa. That was some of the most impressive stuff I've seen. He was greased lightning in that fight. I haven't capped the main event at all though so I have no opinion on it yet.

@Ayy the Youtube account under the same name is ran by a guy named Jordan Kurtz and I'm pretty sure that's him in his profile picture. How did he get verified as Jacoby?

Hooker vs. Puelles

Hooker via KO rd 3

I’m weirdly confident in hooker this weekend. Other then the hail mary sub which would probably be from a kneebar, how does claudio win? Imo I think hooker should be at least a -200 so -160 is pretty solid. The level of competition is crazy to me beating gruetz, leavitt, and guida is no where near the competition hooker has lost to. Puelles has absolutely nothing to offer on the feet, his striking is brutal with only landing 1.99 super telegraphed strikes per minute vs hookers 4.91 strikes landed against actual competition. Hooker also has 78% takedown defence, so how does puelles setup his ****** takedowns? Yeah hookers last loss is a bad look but dropping down to 145 with how big he is it was likely for him to lose due to the massive speed advantage in allen who would also bodybag puelles if they were to fight. I see hooker finding the 3rd rd ko or a dominant decision.

I think Adesaya was always on steroids, I don't believe you take steroids for some fight and not the other, unless you get caught and don't want to take the risk anymore or did what Johnny Hendric did when USADA come in,

Like why would he only use it against Perreria and Costa, And not against at least Rob, Vettori, Romero and Jan, And Brunson, Kelvin and Taveres at the time also,

Israel Adesanya, DEC
22-1 vs 6-1 speaks for itself. Who cares what happened in another sport. Alex hasn’t earned my pick in a fight or this caliber. Wouldn’t be surprised if Izzy finishes him honestly

There was some real animosity between him and Costa. It might have been he felt he HAD to win that one in particular because of all the buildup. Also Costa is a known cheater so he may have rationalized that he was only equalizing the playing field. Also let's not forget that whatever Izzy said about not being afraid of beefcakes Costa is an extremely imposing figure and young and explosive too, that's going to cause some trepidation for anyone.
Romero also has that monstrous build but he was past 40 and slower so that's different. Adesanya coasted a bit that fight (though mostly Romero is to blame) But Adesanya had a lot of respect after Romero tagged him once and just rode out the clock to a decision win after that.

I think you're generally right that a decision to cheat is made earlier in a career but it's not impossible that he thought it was special circumstances. Could be the same kind of rationalizations going on here, "I really won my fight vs Perreira except for that one slipup so I deserve this" or whatever, who knows?

I say this, Carla has a solid path to victory with the wrestling , Weill takedown defence is more unknown then bad, but you don’t want unkown with a -500, And Rose  took her down twice with her two attempts, no one else didn’t really try and we all know what Carla good at, Takedown and control, Weill should win this fight, I’m just no going to act like Carla doesn’t have a path to win

I’m getting major Yan vs Sterling 2 vibes from this fight

The way at look at it is very simple. Carla took down Joanna one time with almost 0 control, Weili took down Joanna 3 times and smashed her on the ground

I see Carla as the most undeserving champion in ufc history, unlike Sterling she didn’t actually fight to earn her title. She played grab ass for 5 rounds with Rose
