Rooting for Alex hard. 3/5 izzys title defenses have been pretty unexciting despite his dominance. It’s a 50/50 fight but I’m confident Alex can hurt Izzy and land the killshot in round 3
Blanchfield vs. McCann

McCann just isn’t that great imo. On the feet she’s pretty decent and has crazy volume but she gets tired and leaves herself wide open for strikes and takedowns. You can’t do that with someone who’s a high level grappler like Blanchfield. I was gonna go with decision but I think she finds the sub midway through the 3rd
Trizano vs. Choi
Seung Woo Choi, TKO, R3
Choi is very talented and has a deceiving record and I think Trizano is very average. He’s got some skills but nothing that will blow you away by any stretch. Choi has a KO win over Erosa so I think he can do the same to Trizano as long as he fights smart
Arce vs. Jackson
Montel Jackson, TKO, R2
Arce looked good in his last fight but Daniel Santos got nothing on Montel Jackson. He’s long, he’s fast and he’s powerful. He’s only lost to high level competition and has some decent ground game as well. I think he clips Julio at some point in round 2 and finishes him

Adesanya proved himself a very well rounded fighter overall, with decent wrestling and jiu jitsu, whereas Pereira, while as good as Adesanya on the feet, was put on his butt by a mediocre fighter in Michailidis... I hope this is a good fight, but I think Adesanya will take the fight to the ground and tko him here.

If she blasted through Andrade in like 40 seconds, I don't see how she can't do the same here. I get Esparza is a wrestler, but Weili is strong and she has been getting better at her wrestling, while her clinch is also probably the strongest part of her game. I just don't see how Carla wins this fight up close or at distance, she will have to get lucky, get Weili to the ground with at least resistance as possible and just control her all fight. Esparza will have to bite down on her mouthpiece like Pena did with Nunes and just TRY to get through that damage. Anyways maybe I get proven dead wrong, but I don't see how Carla doesn't get the **** beat out of her here.

On paper should be an easy fight for Reyes. If he's anything like his old self he should finish Spann, if he's truly mentally broken then this is it for him...

Riddell has taken some damage lately, but that RDA fight for Moicano might be career changing. So we'll have to see how this fight goes, but Moicano might never be the same dude.
Kowalkiewicz vs. Juárez

Karolina will have to grapple the **** out of her, otherwise this chick hits waaaaaaay too ******* hard for a 37 year old to take on the chin clean

Coaching credentials aside proof is in the pudding, CKB grappling system is producing some of the best anti-wrestling in the UFC. See KKF, Riddell, Izzy etc. vs wrestlers.
As much as I'm sure Alex is working on it, it would be unfathomable if he came into the Izzy fight with a grapple heavy approach and it's the one area Izzy is probably a different level to him.

Israel Adesanya, TKO, R4
Israel has shown to be the more technical striker and I think it's a pretty safe bet to call him the better overall fighter. He's better adapted to the 4oz gloves and knows how to navigate the cage better. He's also shown that he can hurt Alex before, and add to that the fact that this is slightly personal - I think he could finish Pereira late in the fight.

Izzy gets his revenge in the "trilogy" he's just been training MMA way longer and this isn't kickboxing. Pereira KO isn't off the table entirely, but I expect Izzy to stay at range and even grapple if it comes to that
Esparza vs. Zhang

Zhang been working on wrestling with Cejudo and she's 100x better on the feet than Carla. As long as she doesn't get taken down and held there, she wins
Poirier vs. Chandler

Dustin gets better as the fight progresses and Chandler gasses out. Chandler has KO power no doubt, but Dustin has a good chin at LW. If Chandler utilizes wrestling, then he has a much better shot of winning. The thing is that I don't see him doing that. I see him trying to excite the crowd and throwing big power shots and Dustin taking over in the end and landing a Round 3 combo that drops and finishes Chandler

Hype train ends here. Blanchfield might even win by submission. Blanchfield just needs to stay composed and stick to the gameplan of heavy grappling
