I think Francis has high potential, his contender series fight was impressive. I think he uses grappling and pace to wear down Rojo and win a decision. On the feet it will definitely be competitive

Hermansson vs. Dolidze
Jack Hermansson, DEC
Honestly it’s a pretty close fight. Dolidze is good on the ground and has incredible power but I think Hermansson is gonna win this one on the feet by staying technical and winning a decision. His experience will also come into play at some point

Hermansson vs. Dolidze
Jack Hermansson, DEC
Hermansson should realistically tear through Dolidze here. He hasn't had a full camp specific to Hermansson (but I'm not too sure how it will actually affect him), and there's a huge huge step up in competition level between him and Hawes. Although Roman will probably have the strength advantage, I don't think he's as good a complete fighter as Jack, nor is he fast enough to catch him in his tracks while Jack is piecing him up.

Marshall imo isnt quite ready for the big show.(dont worry, i think hes talented and has a good future)

hes solid everywhere the fight goes. can win decisions

just needs some experience/seasoning

and for rojo, hes got to know this is his last chance.
hes not gonna get any better at like 34 or whatever age he is

hes lost to jourdain and phillips. 2 kinda unfair fights.
and in the jourdain fight he showed a lot of balls, landed tons of body shots, was a great fight
and in the phillips fight he was just outmatched. i think kyler phillips is top 15 right now and it was just cruel matchmaking on the ufcs part.

this fight is more on the level he should be fighting.

its a 50-50 fight as far as i see it.

both guys not lacking in any area.

gonna be interesting to see what happens,
i also wonder if rojo is damaged goods. because of those first 2 ufc fights

I slightly pick rojo though. Mainly based on experience and i think rojo is better than what a lot of people give him credit for

I agree with jr but I’m taking marshall because I think the grappling deficiency is what will win marshall the fight. He was too content to wrestle on dwcs and I think he’s gonna be shooting like crazy here. Even If he loses the first round or two, rojo has a knack for gassing out in the third round and I could see him getting finished late by marshall

Hermansson vs. Dolidze
Roman Dolidze, TKO, R2
They Brought back beast mode Dolidze. Got an early present. Picked Dolidze against Daukus and Hawes. Hermansons tricks are no good here. Smash and gab like Connor. Smash the opponent and grab the microphone.

How? That was coherent English. Rojo has hole in his grappling and Marshall is a grappler. Rojo gets finished in the third round all the time due to his lack of grappling and bad gas tank. Rojo has the advantage on the feet and Marshall can hang there, but I don’t think he’s as good a striker as rojo, so he will be shooting a lot. He was very content to grapple instead of strike on dwcs so I think he will do the same here, since he is fighting another striker

So you're picking Marshall then? Your other post at first said you agreed with JR and are taking Rojo (which JR is doing). That is what had me confused.

I agree with JR’s points but I have marshall winning. I think marshall is talented but green; that’s the point I was agreeing with

No problem mate, glad we got it sorted out. :o)
I'm enjoying the leisure of having two weeks to prepare so I'm only doing one fight a day, haven't seen Marshall fight yet. Lots of interesting lines for betting this event.

Yeah I gotta do some tape on these fights too. For some odd reason I’ve seen holtzman fight a ton but I can’t get a clear grasp on who he is. Also really gotta look into price vs rowe cuz that’s a very close fight for me

Yeah I did Price Rowe yesterday. They're very similar as fighters actually. I have to sligthly lean Price though because he's fought at a whole other level than Rowe, Rowe is taking a big step up here. I think the line is pretty accurate on this one, I think the UFC matched these two well.

Holtzman v Guida will be pretty telling when the match starts, if Holtzman is allowed to press Guida to the cage he'll win, if Guida forces him to fight on the backfoot he can win. Holtzman is almost comically reliant on being the one going forward and putting his opponent on the cage to win.
Oh and also he really likes to throw uppercuts and he's pretty good at throwing at an off-tempo by delaying his attack for a split second which catches a lot of people off guard. Throwing stuff up the middle is the 101 to get through vs Guida so that's a good thing for Holtzman.

Thanks guys. Wasn't very familiar with Marshall and I rate Rojo.

Just watched the DWCS and yes I really like the pace and pressure of Marshall, and the wrestling as Ayy says. The one thing that I did not like is the lack of head movement and how hittable he is. He seems to block punches with his face like L-Andrew blocks L's with his face.

But will Rojo be able to capitalise on that? I think Marshall will likely tire him out and win. Maybe a R3 like Ayy says is a really good play.
