Man i picked Goiti by TKO rd 3 but it was sad to see Neiman get koed for the first time in his career and badly too, I hope it didnt do permanent damage to his durability because that's two fights now where he's taken a bunch of damage. And it was worse to watch because his jab was doing him well and yet he kept getting cracked by rushing in and getting counted, dropped to a knee by a straight and stiff countering jab and got finished by an uppercut from Goiti literally egging him on to come forward whilst getting his head bopped by Gracie's jab. I do hope Neiman learns to stay calm behind his popping jab or atleast rush in more defensively in later fights, he's got great potential still imo and good job to Goiti, lots of fun matchups awaiting him in the near future!

I've really stopped betting on the PFL because... well you know why.

But I definitely would not pick Scheffel against anyone at this point.

And also I would pick Delija because of the wrestling (if his low IQ ass actually goes for it) because I think Ferreira has been found out a bit, and if he lands on his back he is pretty much going to stay there. That said I have never ever really been convinced about Delijas chin.

What do you guys think?

Scheffel should whoop Juan Adams imo, but i'm not sure about the other fight.. def leaning Ferreira. Scheffel is somehow the underdog and Ferriera vs Delija is virtually a pick em odds wise.

Yamauchi was an amateur boxing champion in the state of Parana, defeating John Lineker when Yamauchi was 14 and Lineker was 17.
Against CG he showed punch and tonight he managed to knock out Gracie. Yamauchi is undoubtedly dangerous on the ground, but if he continues to exploit his striking background he could be a similar threat to his opponent as DoBronx in striking.

I think the pressure of the situation also would have affected Gracie.

I mean think about it, you are representing the best known grappling family in the world on a world wide broadcast against another grappler who could potentially be better than you and could submit you in front of the whole world.

I cannot imagine what kind of pressure that would be like. I am sure he prefered to get KOd than submitted.

Rusty,Matty,

Thank you guys for your opinions. Yes Pfl is risky,Rusty. I already put couple bets, couple small ones. Last time I got really lucky was UFC when Leech won by Ko. I still hope maybe this UFC event brings something to be excited about.

If you like I could give you some of the picks I am confident about and going to bet on the UFC card?

Though buyer beware, I have made some bad calls recently

So many fights that I find very tricky on this UFC card and I already made some crazy picks (couple small bets).
Call me a weirdo,but I chose Ontiveros,Witt,Clark,Cachoeira,Nam.

Well my most confident plays (maybe as parlay legs) would be

1. Benitez ITD (Ontiveros is not UFC calibre)
2. Silva ITD
3. Cruz/Vera over 1.5 / 2.5
4. Onama
5. Zalal/Blackshear over 1.5
6. Yazmin Jaragui
7. Buday

Less confident but I am still playing them in my parlays
1. Nina Nunes
2. Nunes over 1.5
3. Azamat
4. Quinlan KO
5. Lipski
6. Lupita (not playing the decision here because I feel loopy could get a control position and TKO on the mat)
7. Clarke/Azamat over 1.5

As always be cautious when parlaying. I used to do 20 leg parlays which was great when 1 in a 100 hit. But now I just shorten all my parlays to 10 legs or less.

The thing about MMA is we never know right? You can be as confident as you like and be right about the fight as well and then have an injury or incompetent judging or a bad weight cut or something we just don't know about.

So all your dog picks could hit. I would not put much on Ontiveros, I really just can't see him beating Benitez.
But Clarke, Witt (especially being with James Krause) and Nam could all hit.

I would never have picked Cacheoira, but after all the drama with the weight issues and the fact that Lipski apparently recently had COVID makes me think that could also be a possibility.

I think Nina Nunes is the best dog on the card tbh. Followed by Cruz, Clarke, Nam and Blackshear

Rusty,I am not new to parlays, but it just seems that one or two fights for me would ruin my 5 or 6 leg parlay lately and that just sucks :)) I like your line here and appreciate you sharing it!!!

Ontiveros is not UFC caliber, I agree, but anything can happen. Of course I will leave this as a pick and not include in in any parlay. But I think Quinlan is not proved as well. Witt will go for takedown. Is he good to defend it? I am not certain about it. Anyhow we will see. I will make some crazy picks, but be cautious about what needs to be parlayed. Thank you very much again and have a good night!!

Yes, the regional amateur boxing championships are something like the Brazilian golden gloves (clearly keeping the clear distances that exist between boxing in the USA and Brazil). His victory against Lineker was somewhat surprising, firstly taking into account that age difference, the fact that Goiti was still a pre-teen and lastly the fact that Lineker has very good boxing fundamentals (attacking the body and head, instead of just focus on single side.
My comparison of Yamauchi with Oliveira was maybe a bit exaggerated, but Yamauchi, in addition to BJJ, also trained a lot of boxing, muay thai and wrestling in his young ages. I think just focusing on submissions has pretty much limited half of his tools. The change of weight category has helped him and in a category with several wrestlers / grapplers in high positions it is quite convenient for him to start using his striking, the timing and technique of the uppercut that disconnected Gracie was fabulous

It was pull up and enter bout in question rather than contact so I didn’t, was gonna do it for great contender Valentin to be 12-2 on Steve 10-1 should’ve been arguably due to 6’7” still standing; a showtime Lawler-Amagov stoppage replay first few angles show misses, until last replay shows good TKO for lawler, 2nd example is Bader-Brilz UFC 139 where on KO punch it show miss then 2nd angle clean hit for Bader win, so my argument is maybe Stephen Espinoza  can misconstrue replays/ if so then maybe there was shine on an angle of a clean Valentin punch, then only the replay that brainwashed viewers showed eye poke: PS I’d like Kongo-Bader 3 shall Ryan keep his belt any longer.
