Haven't seen a card this bad since Holm vs Veiera. Went back to downvote it out of anger lmao

They could add 6 good fights and it would be tollerable.

Hot Take: Right now Dern v Yan > Chimaev v Diaz. Both the main event and the card generally.
The UFC only needs one or two exciting matchups to make this event semi watchable. And the stakes are higher here than Chimaev v Diaz. Yan is on a two fight losing streak, but she's an exceptional sanda practioner who arguably beat Rodriguez earlier this year (R1 clearly Yan, R3 clearly Rodriguez, R2 was close but I could see an argument for Yan getting the 10-9). Both Yan and Dern would like to get into the Straweight title picture, and a win here would definitely be helpful to each woman's cause. After having watched Dern v Rodriguez and Rodriguez v Yan, I expect this to be an interesting matchup (got nothing to say about the rest of the card in particular).
Chimaev v Diaz has very low stakes: Chimaev is already the presumptive challenger to Marty if both men win, and Diaz is already on his way to getting his ass beat by Jake Paul, thus collecting both CTE and a fat stack of cash while inflating the ego of a goofball social media guy who picks on washed up fighters and nobodies. Even if Borz somehow lost (I think he'll violently KO Nate in R1 or R2), he's still an up and coming title contender. And the undercard on 279 leaves much to be desired.
Hit me with your dislikes and criticisms.

I'm proud to have started the destruction of this card's rating, although I don't think its actually a "rating" considering Holm vs Vieira has a 18 to 4 ratio. Shame I didn't get to ruin that one cause I wasn't thinking about that at the time.

How is Dern ranked above Marina Rodriguez if Rodriguez beat her in the last fight? Why would getting a decision over Tecia jump her up that high? So dumb.

I agree that doesn't make a lot of sense. But the rankings are not necessarily based in any objective reality either. It's more of a promotional tool. Why else is McGregor still ranked in either LW or WW?

He's never been ranked at WW but yeah it's stupid that he's still ranked at all. Why is Jon Jones ranked and why is Poirier ahead of a few champions in other weight classes?

I say this card is better then UFC 279, Because this card and 279 are both dumpster fire, But one a free dumpster fire and the other is a $70 dumpster fire, I don't complain about free cards because they are free entertaiment, But when i'm paying for the fight, I'm expecting some sort of quality

Glad to hear she is planning on getting this bout to the mat. Regardless I think she finishes Yan in the second round via submission.

Dern vs. YanXiaonan Yan, DEC
Dern will start to gas in the 3rd round because Yan has the better cardio. She will just do lateral movements, making dern chase her a lot. 49-46. Israel adesanya it. I believe Yan won against RodriguesAllen vs. JotkoBrendan Allen, DEC
Allen has better grappling, Jotko has faster striking. I believe Allen can put his foot on the gas for 3 rounds. More gas in the Tank

We don’t know if Yan has the better cardio coz she has not gone pass the third yet. Plus you think she gonna survive 25 mins without getting takedown at-least once ? Angela Hill at the end of the first round had Yan in a triangle choke but got saved by the bell.
