Hello everyone, after lurking in this forum for a while I have found that we are missing a prospect watch thread where we can talk about the guys who may become 'the next big thing' that will be fighting soon. I've called it weekly, but feel free to talk about any relevant announcement you find.

I would rather use it for guys outside UFC, Bellator, PFL or similar, but if there is one guy in these promotions you would like to talk about there is no problem

You can say anything you find relevant about the prospect: weight class, amateur record, some info about them. But please, in case you know where to watch it write it here so all of us can watch it too!!

Cezary and his brother changed Club they are training in. Moved to Poznan, Ankos MMA. Both Gamrot and Borys used to train there. Basically if you are joining Ankos, your wrestling always gets better.

Also just found out yuri panferov is fighting on ces 69 this week. Don’t know his opponent and it’s not listed on tapology but per his ig he’s on the card. Obviously with all NE prospects, he’s can crushed so it’s hard to judge skill level but I’ve heard lots of good things about him and he looked incredible in his last fight. May be someone to look out for. Especially in a thin division like 205

Someone to watch this week is Navid Zarageh, who makes his mma debut on BFL 73 this Thursday. He has no amateur or pro experience, but he was a former member of the Iranian U23 team where he bronze medaled at the 2019 worlds. Also got silver at the 2019 Asian championships and gold at the Asian Games. He’s only 25 and fights at 205, so if we see him winning and he looks good, we may see him in the ufc in a few years. He’s being thrown into a title fight against a much more experienced opponent so this will be a very tough test for him and if he passes, I think he is definitely a prospect to look out for

There was an event I just added that happens on the 10th, FCC 30. The main event has two very good prospects and I would expect big things from the winner of that fight. FCC is a promotion that’s on the rise and they just signed a broadcasting deal with ufc fight pass, so this event will be getting lots of coverage. Exciting stuff coming from England

Yeah fcc is great. It’s also awesome to see another British promotion becoming “legit” as it will help grow the sport. Best part is, a lot of their amatuer fights are fair and competitive too, and not just to pad records or get experience

Bernardo Sopai should be in a big league soon... I can see him at feather from bantam as he gets older and fills out more, maybe he is not ready now, but if he could try a run in PFL at feather, it would be valuable experience... He may not make the final on his first run, but at 21 or 22, he could bag a few 100k, or maybe even the million if he can reach that next level... Then be one of the very few to have done great and can get out of the sport young, maybe even before 30, before he gets alot of wear and tear.... This is all idealistic thinking, but shoot for the stars I guess....
