Pat Barry and Rose Namajunas.

Ok so we all saw the fight… yes it was boring, yes it was unentertaining, but the only highlight for me was the connection between Pat Barry and Rose Namajunas, not only does she have her coach in there with her, but also her husband, best friend and biggest fan,

 Now I have been reading so much negative press regarding this, saying that he gives her too much confidence, doesn’t tell her where she is going wrong etc.…

but that’s not Pat’s job, that role falls to Trevor Wittman, and it’s a role that Trevor does well, for me he is the top mma coach in the world right now, so we really don’t need to worry about him and what he does, so that side is covered.

Ok so back to Pat and Rose, anyone who has followed Rose in her career knows that while she has lots of confidence in herself (which she rightly should) mentally she is delicate, this is not a bad thing, it’s who she is,

 So, someone like that you might think would need someone with her who she is friends with, who she is comfortable with and who is a huge fan of hers…….

 Oh wait she does have someone like that!!!! Pat ******* Barry, I think I’ve made my point and disproved all these stupid theories about him being a negative part of her camp/fights because she had one bad day at the office.

 

 

yea thats all cool and what not. If you can get passed the fact that he groomed her from 13 on..... at what 27 years old lol 

As her cornerman, Barry could have taken the blame for her last performance and he didn’t own up to it. Regardless what they have accomplished, sometimes you need to move on to get better. Maybe it’s time for him to take a step back as coach. 

No one can deny Usman has improved since working with Wittman. 

But ultimately it comes down to what the fighter wants or thinks is best, and she obviously thinks he brings value to her.
