It's pretty obvious that whatever differences we have here on this forum, and whatever arguments and fights we get into on here we all do feel for MMA. All of us would not be here if that was not the case.
And I think everyone on here agrees it's time these two went. For their own health. Legends.

Honestly, I thought Tony got beat up by Nate, and it only looked close cause Tony beat up Nate's leg and Nate was doing his silly usual antics at times

Good thing Nate wins his last fight of contract and indirectly (by Chimaev's weight miss) foiled Dana White's plans to use his name to promote their next new star (Chimaev). He closes out his UFC career with a finish over another big name fighter like Tony Ferguson. Great last octagon interview by Nate Diaz, making it clear that he will own his destiny and hopefully continue in his business that he had outside of fighting and seek to be a promoter as he said in the interview.

I remember watching UFC 229 live. I was a big Tony fan. After watching him get beat up by Justin, I said out loud “Welp, it’s over.” There was no way he was gonna physically recover from an ass beating like that, plus two weight cuts leading into it. He was already suffering from major injuries throughout his career too.
The only thing I’m surprised by is that it took five straight losses for his fans to realize he was never gonna be the same. I knew that from day one.

This card literally had no point to it, but it was fun. This card literally is the opposite of what Dana wants the UFC to be tho

The MMA gods giveth, and they taketh away. They gave us an actual decent fight card, but made it super lame. Khamzat easily destroying Holland, Leech getting “robbed”, Tony just needing to retire and Nate too. I keep saying this cause it’s true: It’s better that what we could’ve gotten, but in the end this card was still pretty bad. Not gonna complain too much though, was definitely better than seeing Tony and Nate finished in the first round by their respective opponents. Plus we get to see an angry Dana White

With this event the return for betting 1 unit on every WMMA dog fell sligthly to +4u and +6% ROI for 2022 to date.

This really was a goofball clownass clownshow card though. Half the fights were catchweights, the main event looked like 2 senior citizens fighting, and a couple questionable decisions. Now we gotta sit through 2 womens main events. God UFC 280 better be ******* worth it
