I'm with Onama here but I wouldn't be shocked if Landwehr wins whatsoever. His fighting style can be hard to keep up for certain people. Armfield fight was more competitive than it should've been. Armfield's good for sure but he was on relative short notice and undersized for the fight. Onama's got a lot of power though, usually one clean shot and you're probably on your way to being put down by a combination or already down from the first punch

hmmmm, I can see it but honestly I think Nate may get chinned first. someone is getting slept and with the holes onama has been showing I wouldn't be surprised if it happens here. Seems unlikely tho

true that landwehr can be hit. Ludovit doesn't have the same one punch KO power that Onama has IMO

Ya he doesn’t at all but Nate likes to brawl and we’ve seen the chin fail him twice in brawls. Granted, they were two flying knees and it not like he has a bad chin but it shows he can be cracked. Onama can be cracked too but he’s at least shown defensive capabilities like panic wrestling or at least a little bit of head movement. I just hope the line isn’t anything crazy like onama -300 cuz then I’m fading him hard

agreed yeah. They play to each other's weaknesses well, Onama can be overwhelmed, outvolumed and outstruck whilst Landwehr can leave himself open. I'm very 50/50 on who to pick, just depends on who I'm feeling more on fight day probably. I'm slightly leaning Onama right now, mostly banking on him to land the punch and chin Landwehr but like I said wouldn't be shocked if we see Landwehr win.

The thing with Nate is that he was originally insistent on using constant forward pressure at all times during the majority of his career, the kind of scrapper who takes a hit to give a hit. But once he reached 1 - 2 in the UFC, **** changed. He knew that style couldn’t work forever, so he went back to being technical. Fought Ludovit with a high guard, neutralized his southpaw triple threat attacks effortlessly and slowly pieced him against the cage. Few know about this but Nate is actually a golden gloves boxer. He is legitimately technical when he chooses to be. If we get the same Nate we did in his last fight, he’ll give Onama the hardest fight of his career

That’s true but I feel like you also can’t be technical when you fight onama. He’s gonna close the distance and turn it into a brawl

I wouldn’t be shocked if Nate’s chin ate a big one, man has absorbed a lot of damage in his career. But his heart is always there. If Nate decides to fight at full power instead of full ****** and win again Onama, we might have a new mythical fighter: Focused Landwehr

Oh I’d also like to point out that while Onama is clearly talented, he has difficulty cutting his opponents off the cage. Against Gabriel, he ate a ton of bad shots and struggled to pin Gabriel against the wall. Once he did though, Gabriel was a dead man. I don’t think Nate is going to allow him to back him up in the first place, unless he gets wobbled

Oh my god, I hope this isn't the final bout order, 3 women fights in a row on the main card, That going to be rough,

I think Grasso vs Arojo is good, Is more McMann vs Ladd and Calvilo vs Nunes that isn't good

Zalal moving down to BW. Shouldn't affect him too much I think. His entire amateur career was there and he isn't a big featherweight frame wise at all. Should be able to use his length well here but his speed might be a bit outmatched or at least up to par with other Bantamweights

Onama vs. Landwehr
David Onama, TKO, R2
Close fight than what the predictions say but I think Onama’s chin is better than Nate’s

Jauregui vs. Lucindo
Iasmin Lucindo, DEC
Changing my pick after watching some tape. Yazmin has potential to be good, she just isn’t as polished as Iasmin is imo

Benítez vs. Ontiveros
Gabriel Benítez, TKO, R1
Any time Ontiveros fights it’s a spectacle

Zalal vs. Quiñonez
Youssef Zalal, DEC
Zalal has only lost to good fighters as of late, I think he gets his career back on track against Quiñonez who didn’t really impress me skill wise on DWCS

I know that Bruno Silva is an incredible fighter who has great standup and a lot of heart but here we are again with striker vs grappler with this matchup.  Gerald Meerschaert is one of those fighters we've seen time and time again that pulls a submission out of nowhere despite the amount of damage he is taken.  The one stat that stands out is the fact that Bruno Silva has been subbed 5 times early in his career.

Obviously he has improved since those days but Gerald is one of those guys that if you don't completely separate his consciousness from his body, he can somehow pull off a submission.

One of these guys are going to get finished somehow whether Silva by TKO or Gerald by SUB.  They are both too good at what they excel at to not finish the other.  Going to look into this more when I get to it in 2 weeks.
