Aljo is losing his title at 279 so that fixes the problem should merab win

yea i agree that merab and aljo would end up fighting if they both somehow win but i dont see aldo losing to merab and i dont see dillashaw losing to aljo dillashaw is a better striker who already has good wrestling awareness and submission defense im not worried about the snake winning back the belt he never lost hopefully after that tho we see dillashaw get knocked tf out cold and he gets what he deserved lol

Usman Vs. Edwards

Predictions: 4 of 7 Winners, 2 Perfect, 275 Points   |   Tied for 4302nd

What do you all think about the Usman Vs. Edwards line?
I'm going with Usman but Edwards could potentially be better on the feet & his grappling will not be as weak as it was.
I feel the line is a tad too steep...

I doubt Usman's ability to wrestle offensively. His body is shot - injury after injury, we know his knees have been bad for years etc. last 3 fights he didn't go to wrestling at all and really he didn't wrestle that dominantly against Mas the first time and that was the last time he employed a grappling approach.

Betting on that is a gamble but I like the odds for Edwards with that in mind, so yeah Edwards. Just a straight pick odds aside I'd still say Usman by a touch, simply because he's not going to be dramatically out matched on the feet and if he needs to pull some wrestling out who knows, he might still have it.

Usman vs. Edwards II
Kamaru Usman, DEC
This should be a good fight. Or at least a competitive one, Kamaru will mix in his wrestling for sure. Striking I'd give the technical advantage to Edwards but Usman has a substantial power edge

Costa vs. Rockhold
Paulo Costa, TKO, R1
Luke will be massacred in all likely hood but maybe he can conceive, believe and achieve the victory

Usman is still very much an incredible offensive wrestler. Anybody who can stalemate Covington in that department is nothing less.

Edwards is going to get dominated.

Aldo vs. Dvalishvili
José Aldo, TKO, R1
I like this one for Aldo stylistically, Merab has looked amazing on this win streak he's built. However I think Aldo will come hard and put Merab away early

Tybura vs. Romanov
Alexandr Romanov, TKO, R1
This will determine if Romanov is legit. I think he is, I think he will finish Tybura early on but I wouldn't be surprised with a competitive fight

Pedro vs. Hunsucker
Tyson Pedro, TKO, R1
Hunsucker bouta get finished again, extremely east matchup for Pedro on paper

Gordon vs. Santos
Leonardo Santos, TKO, R1
This is a good fight, I think Santos will knock out Jared. Mainly because of his questionable chin, Santos's bjj is good when isn't tired

I fell like i'm not as hype as I should be for this fight, Leon is on a 9-0-1 run since losing to Usman last, With wins over Luque, RDA and Muhamed, And Usman is underfeted in the UFC, and arguable pound 4 pound king, This fight is so good in some way, But for some reason I'm not hype, I think the main reason is Leon Edwards is good at winning, But terrible at getting fans to give a **** about him, I don't really think they're really a fighter where people care less about, Despite being pretty skilled

I know i'm not alone on this, But I rather see Khamzat vs Usman, And I'm scared Leon ruin the fight I want to see

Feels like you came to this conclusion because Leon Edwards isn't a big name to the casual audience???...... by definition that would make you "a casual".

Khamzat is only 5-0 in the UFC, when Usman was 5-0 in the UFC he was fighting Sean Strickland and Sergio Moraes.

Give the KID some damn time and let him progress before he's rushed too fast against Usman and gets dominated like pretty much everybody else and he would right now if they fought. + LEON vs Usman is a great fight and should be a banger.

the UFC has pretty much 0 star power rn since McGregor is drugged up and Masvidal is a DOOFUS. And Izzy makes Frozen references. They want everybody to believe Khamzat is ready, but the fact is... Khamzat isn't ready for Usman and he ATLEAST needs 1 more fight to prove that indefinitely.

Usman has grown on me, he use to be considered boring just like Edwards, what a funny thing and now he's the P4P best at 170 right now. Edwards has shown he has limited paths to victory against someone like this, he's not a finisher.

I do believe it will be competitive, but Edwards has been rocked by Barbarena and almost finished and also Nate caught him. Usman from what I know has an iron chin, but I think this fight will be better than most people think. I hope.

It is a very high level fight that I bet turns out good. Just a feelin'

I'll be rooting for Usman but Edwards capping off his run by beating the current #1 pound for pound to become champion will make people care about him.

usman is going to win because leon wont find a way to take him out of their and he wont 50-45 him either obviously usman will make this a tough fight for leon and if leon wins a round or two good for him but usman will have dropped leon a couple of times in this fight if he stays standing if not usman will take leon down and hold him their

I think Leon wins are never that impressive, Even Kamuru on the up was at least dominating his opponent with a lot of his fights has multiple 10-8 rounds in his fight, Leon on the other hands fights tend to be close with fighter who lose a lot

Leon only win in this decade is Nate Diaz, It was a clear 49-46, But Leon almost got KO'd by Nate Diaz,

Also He's wins vs Cerrone and RDA were close ass decision, And the Gunner Nelson won was a split, Him beating RDA is his best win, But even Michael Chisa did it better then Leon

It's hard to get hype for a guy with no personalty, Boring fights, Doesn't dominant they're opponents and don't fight often, He doing everything wrong for me giving a **** about his fight, You may call me a "casual", But I watch every UFC fight every week and watch ton of regional fight, I'm a hardcore fan and I don't really care about Leon, I should care because he's on a 9 fight win streak, But I just  don't

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 2 Perfect, 425 Points   |   Tied for 2517th

Usman vs. Edwards II
Leon Edwards, DEC
I'll pick Leon just for fun. I think Usman's nearing the end of his career physically and has relied upon his striking more and more into his title reign. Leon's better on the feet, and I think will be able to negate Usman's (IMO overrated) striking. Don't get me wrong, Usman's got hands and can crack, but the only thing I can see happening to put Leon in trouble is if Usman wobbles him. I'll be interested to see if Kamaru busts out the wrestling shoes for this one, and I'm looking forward to Rocky potentially getting his long awaited UFC title

Costa vs. Rockhold
Paulo Costa, TKO, R2
Paulo assured me on Twitter he would win this fight, so how could I doubt him?

Aldo vs. Dvalishvili
José Aldo, DEC
We are entering the title contention range in Aldo's 135 pound quest for gold, and by god he is still out there and doing it at the highest level 18 years into his pro career . Aldo is my favorite fighter and personal GOAT, and I will be watching this one through my fingers

Woodson vs. Saldaña
Sean Woodson, DEC
Slenderman dominates

Gordon vs. Santos
Leonardo Santos, TKO, R1
OK so I know realistically Gordon should win this, but I don't make this many MMA hipster jokes and NOT pick Leo Santos to win. Saying a quick prayer that his gas tank holds up this time out

It’s hard to poke holes in Leon Edwards’ resume, in one of the most stacked divisions in the UFC.
