Instead of spamming the boards everytime I see some cool news, I’ll post it here. I’ll also keep track of prospects I like, new signings to ufc/dwcs/Bellator/etc.

It'd be interesting if Brazilians are excluded, like Random Knowledge mentioned Peru has a crew of guys who need testing, Argentina has a few top-level prospects but the drop off is huge after that first tier, Chile barely has an MMA scene currently, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Uruguay each have maybe a couple undefeated can-crushers, Paraguay doesn't have anyone I can think of off the top of my head, Venezuela's started having more shows recently but still isn't producing legit talent, and then the various small Central American/ countries north of Brazil don't have much going on either

TBH Mexico would probably dominate if Brazil is kept out, but the UFC would be alright with that given how much they want to expand their audience there

Tbh behind Mexico I think Argentina and Peru have the most potential. Or at the very least the most potential frauds. There's soooo many padded record can crushers from those countries, they need to be tested.

As for Mexico, tbh I think that if MMA becomes important over there they can become an MMA superpower and dominate, even including Brazil. Give it 20-30 years and I feel like Mexico will be right up there with Russia America and Brazil, like they are in boxing. We'll see though

Definitely agreed Peru then Argentina are #2+3. Idk about Mexico though, even if MMA grows there its never going to be anything close to football/futbol/soccer, whatever the **** you want to call it

Not saying they can't be a great talent producer, but a tier below US/Russia/Brazil imo

I mean Brazilians love soccer more than anyone (maybe not lol, its pretty close and tied between Brazil, Mexico, and other futbol fanatic psychos) but that doesn't take away from their MMA prowess.

Brazilians do love futbol too but they at least have cultural martial arts traditions with BJJ, Muay Thai, and weirder stuff like Capoeira. Mexico really just has boxing, which as we know isn't the best base for MMA

Yeah, it seems everyone wants him to get fed to the wolves (me included) for ruining their Robocop parlays. Robocop was borderline ranked and Ferreira isnt very good, so they better give him someone who's gonna beat his ass next. And I don't mean that like give him an unwinnable matchup, I just think that most guys in his area of the rankings beat his ass. Hope they don't give him a step down in competition

did Dana say something about how they will not only look to do a UFC Africa event, but also look to build a PI for them at some point? I don't see why not just dump some resources into holding a Road to the UFC for all the regions you guys mentioned - I think the benefit of that would be way more than investing into...Africa. Like no offense, but 3 successful MMA fighters from that entire continent doesn't warrant that much attention to it imo

Ferriera actually isn’t that bad. I was very impressed with his wrestling on tape. He’s ultra explosive and hits hard. I do believe he will gas out when he faces adversity or gets extended late, but he’s actually pretty skilled

Yeah he's not ****, but the only way I ever see him being near the rankings is in this timeline where he got extremely lucky by fighting a chinny overrated **** in the inferior Robocop (Soldic supremacy). If they give him a step up in competition like they should I think he loses
