Instead of spamming the boards everytime I see some cool news, I’ll post it here. I’ll also keep track of prospects I like, new signings to ufc/dwcs/Bellator/etc.

Some of the heavier fighters have some weird epiphanies that if they can stay mobile and quick enough to be UFC-caliber, then it doesn't matter if they are obesed. Luckily, we don't really see too much of that in the UFC anymore except a handpick few of heavyweights, but with Jones, Gane, Pavlovich, Blaydes, and Aspinall, these heavyweights realized they either have to bulk up now or get lean to drop a weight class

I got to be honest changing weight class be it body change or extreme weight cut is wild stuff.
I've lost and gained over 20lbs and can say I was noticeably stronger being heavier even with higher fat content.
And while I was faster and better cardio I was weaker at lighter, plus being light is miserable dieting and cutting ruins recovery.

Oh absolutely, I've lost 70+ pounds with lots of that happening because I wanted to change positions in rugby, its a weird feeling of being so much more mobile but just not having that raw power when you make contact

Tony Ferguson just said he’s been offered to coach TUF this season. Looks like it will be him vs mcgregor. They better not fight afterwards, that would be shameless matchmaking

Tony states he was offered a TUF coaching spot and he wanted Khabib, but since Khabib is stepping away Tony "chose" McGregor. This also explains McGregors post about TUF. If true this is pretty crazy. It will definitely boost TUF ratings, but if Conor and Tony fight then I hope it's Tony's retirement fight. Before the Gaethje fight I would have picked Tony to beat Conor 9 times out of 10, but since I think Conor just has his way with him, cardio issues and all.

Honestly, the casual in me really likes the sound of Conor McGregor VS Tony Ferguson! I agree it makes absolutely no sense in terms of rankings either at 155lbs or 170lbs but it's two over the hill fan favourites going at it and tbh, I can't really see either of them doing too much damage to the other so I wouldn't think it would harm their long term health too much either. I certainly prefer this to feeding Ferguson to Li Jingliang like the UFC wanted to a while ago for instance.

Just personal preference but recently we've seen quite a few of the veterans being matched against each other rather than being fed to the younger fighters and I personally prefer that. On the other side of it, if all the veterans are fighting each other then it could pave the way for more young prospects trying to derail each other's hype trains which would give us a much better idea of who's the real deal amongst the up and comers!

Think Chandler vs McGregor is much more compelling fight. Chandler is heavy handed and could knockout McGregor. I don't think Ferguson has anything left sadly

That’s smart on their part. They should give NIL deals to the top college wrestlers too; they can beat out Bellator

Imo winner should be signed to the ufc. This is easily the highest level tour outside of a major org

Three ex ufc fighters is weird but I actually don’t mind the gibson pick. Despite being old af he’s actually gotten pretty solid over time. Had a banger in Eagle FC and has beaten some solid names since
