Lol why. Wasn't Shogun supposed to have a retirement match against Lyoto who was coming back for one fight, that would've been perfect. Then they coulda had their quadrilogy in Bellator's senior citizen division when they're both 60.

Ihor will probably KO him quick imo but hope I'm wrong, besides even if I'm not, the Brazilian crowd members will attack Ihor if he does win lol

Yeah I just don’t understand it. Just weird matchmaking. Ihor isn’t good but like why give shogun a young guy and not someone older. Like even bringing back machida would’ve made more sense

yeah true and besides if it is a case of "wanting to promote a younger and hungrier fighter" why Ihor 😂

There are so many better younger up and comers they could've fed Shogun too. But ig it's better for Shogun's sake even though if Ihor wins it'll most likely be a devastating KO

exactly its just so random. I would understand if they wanted to promote a Brazilian like Vitor Petrino but Ihor is just strange. Hes not good or super exciting nor is he thought of being a good prospect. He will probably win that being said but yeah

Idk, maybe they consider Ihor that big of a bum. Petrino would have been a better matchup as far as making sense. Machida too

Ihor will probably be a moderate favorite, around -230 is my guess. Shogun just looked so bad in his last fight, physically and performance wise. I hope he wins, I think he has a chance but it’s probably a low one

Uhhh I hate this. Once it's clear the old guard are done, they should be fighting guys of there own gen. The Machida fight would have been perfect.
