Instead of spamming the boards everytime I see some cool news, I’ll post it here. I’ll also keep track of prospects I like, new signings to ufc/dwcs/Bellator/etc.

I think VISA issues and fighting Styles are reasons why we don't see a lot of russians in the UFC. Also they get cut much more easily. Guys like Emeev or Valiev should have not been cut.

That was one of the fights to make at LHW. Glad they put it together

I really wanted to see Rakic vs Ankalaev thats the real fight

Movsar has suffered an injury in camp. No word on if he’s pulling out but he is compromised. We may see ilia get a fight after all. Very annoyed movsar can’t stay healthy; he pulls out of everything 

John Hathaway has his opponent for oktagon, Andre ricardo. Hathaway has stated if he looks good he puts himself in a position to be resigned by the ufc, despite signing a multi fight contract with oktagon. Will be cool to see how he looks with the time off

What happened to LFA champ Aaron Mackenzie? Usually that belt is a ticjet to ufc or at least contender series.

I doubt the ufc will take him given his age and given the fact his last fight wasn’t exactly a decisive victory (super close fight). He fought in 2022 tho so maybe he gets another defense in November or December. He could be injured which is why he hasn’t been more active 

Yeah the age is my biggest concern. I think he is too old to risk trying to climb the ufc ranks. His best shot at a world title and life changing money is probably PFL.

Anyone looking for a sleeper HW prospect should check out Valter Ignacio, he's 7-0 but has spent basically all his career on small Russian shows so pretty underlooked. He's 6'6 and muscular, has solid counter-striking, great TDD, and has shown sambo-style wrestling dominance in some of his fights. That's also probably part of why he doesn't get much hype because he usually wins by decision. Competition level isn't great but its not bad either, no blatant cans, and his most recent opponent was pretty decent. Plus since he's Brazilian he's much more likely to get a contract elsewhere than a Russian would be. Just not that many guys out there built like him with that type of wrestling.

I'd guess he'd need to win the MMA Series title in order to get a chance at DWCS? Which he could easily do before next season, 1-2 more wins since they always need more big boys
