Tbh they're both among the ****tiest divisions so its not like were losing heavyweights and sending them to lightweight (physically impossible but you get what I'm saying)

I get what your saying but a quick look at the roster wiki and you'll notice that middleweight is almost doubling lhw in numbers in recent years with several upcoming prospects and several more that have yet to debut. LHW doesn't have that luxury.
