Ciryl Gane, TKO, R4
A body kick is gonna finish Tuivasa. I feel it. Tuivasa has power but Gane is so technical and it's gonna give Tai many problems.
Whittaker vs. Vettori
Robert Whittaker, DEC
Whittaker will make this look easy. Yeah Vettori is tough but he's not gonna be able to spam takedown after takedown without getting pieced up by Rob. If Izzy wasn't in the division, Rob would be cleaning it out.
Di Chirico vs. Kopylov
Roman Kopylov, TKO, R2
Kopylov has had a tough run in the UFC but Di Chirico sucks so bad. If Kopylov can let his hands go I think he wins this with ease.
Haqparast vs. Makdessi
John Makdessi, DEC
Makdessi upset coming. Why is Nasrat such a huge favorite? Makdessi is gonna get him down to the ground as much as possible and just control the fight.
Gomis vs. Errens
William Gomis, TKO, R2
This is a contender series fight but tons of fights fell off so they just brought them in right away. Gomis is extremely fast and talented and I'm taking him to win. Errens isn't a bum but he's nothing to write home about.
Jourdain vs. Wood
Charles Jourdain, TKO, R3
Jourdain will eventually break Wood. I'm confident in that.
Stoltzfus vs. Magomedov
Abusupiyan Magomedov, TKO, R1
Round 1 or bust for Magomedov. I think Stoltzfus wrecks him if he can stay away from his power. Stoltzfus isn't very good but this is gonna be a close fight because Magomedov isn't either.
Ziam vs. Figlak
Michal Figlak, SUB, R2
I feel like Ziam has so much potential but he needs to go back to the regional scene to gain some confidence back. Great nickname as well. The UFC actually released him as well but they brought him back for the France card. Figlak looked like a beast regionally so I'm rolling with him to get the sub here.
Imavov vs. Buckley
Nassourdine Imavov, TKO, R2
Imavov will silence Buckley just like Alessio did. I wasn't high on Imavov at the start of his UFC run but he's reaching his potential now and he should be able to get a win here. Buckley has been overrated ever since the best ko in history.
Saint-Denis vs. Miranda
Benoit Saint-Denis, SUB, R1
Saint-Denis all day. Look at who Miranda has fought on the regional scene...lol.
Taha vs. Quiñonez
Khalid Taha, TKO, R2
These guys are gonna bang until one man falls. I'm not high on either guy but I gotta roll with Taha here. Quiñonez struggled on DWCS.
Perez vs. Egger
Stephanie Egger, SUB, R1
Egger subs Perez with ease. Perez isn't UFC caliber. Egger is decent and strong so she should be able to judo throw Perez and sub her.

Stephanie Egger, SUB, R1
I lost money on Ms. Egger last time. It was my biggest bet of the card. While I think she gets back on track here, I will not be betting for several reasons. The moneyline odds aren't very appealing, and I am still salty. :-/

Khalid Taha, DEC
I am going with Taha, here. Taha is in danger of being cut and shouldn't 't want to go out on yet another decision loss.
09.02.2022 | 11:12 PM ET
New bout order, Imavov now on the main card.

Ciryl Gane, TKO, R4
Tai has one punch, shut your lights out type power, but Gane is very elusive and has great defence, he will pick Tai apart and ultumitely, get Tai tired and desperate and finish him.
Whittaker vs. Vettori
Marvin Vettori, DEC
Rob is a huge favourite but Vettori shouldn't be counted out, Whittaker doesn't want the belt with the same desire at 185lbs after being placed number 2 to Izzy, I think Vettori makes this mostly boring and squeaks a decision with grappling against the cage. Close but I'm saying 29-28 split for Vettori.
Di Chirico vs. Kopylov
Alessio Di Chirico, DEC
Alessio shouldn't be counted out over his last performance, remember what he did to Buckley, he'll have his moments, he'll know he can't afford to lose this and will play it safe, and will win a laboured decision.
Haqparast vs. Makdessi
Nasrat Haqparast, TKO, R3
Earlier I thought Nasrat KO round 1, then I thought a decision, but now I think he'll get it done over the vet in Makdessi, will be a scrap but he'll want it more and will be looking for the kill, after his last few performances where he felt as though he could have done more over Green and Hooker.
Gomis vs. Errens
William Gomis, TKO, R1
Prospect on the rise.
Jourdain vs. Wood
Nathaniel Wood, DEC
Good fight, will both be looking to mix it well, I like Wood at 145lbs though, so I'm saying he gets it done.
Stoltzfus vs. Magomedov
Abusupiyan Magomedov, TKO, R2
Abu is a kill or be killed kinda guy, I'm thinking he's for the kill here.
Imavov vs. Buckley
Nassourdine Imavov, TKO, R3
People are thinking Imavov gets a decision here, Buckley has been KO'd twice in the UFC and once out via TKO, when hit clean, he goes down, Imavov is the dark horse at 185lbs, he'll maintain that status after this one.
Saint-Denis vs. Miranda
Benoit Saint-Denis, SUB, R2
Scrappy exchanges, but St Denis is the better man.
Taha vs. Quiñonez
Khalid Taha, TKO, R2
Taha goes for the kill and pressure early, Quinonez picks up later, I'm thinking Taha gets the kill.
Perez vs. Egger
Stephanie Egger, SUB, R2
Egger is the more experienced one, she can finish too, she'll show Perez the levels of the UFC.

Predictions: 10 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 630 Points | Tied for 454th
Ciryl Gane, DEC
gane would be champ if not for the ill-advised leglock attempt, no reason to think he can't take tai's punches if he can take francis's.
Whittaker vs. Vettori
Robert Whittaker, DEC
it'll probably be close, maybe even sd, but i expect rob to land more and roll with the power shots.
Di Chirico vs. Kopylov
Alessio Di Chirico, DEC
not sure here really, so i'll say alessio chips away?
Haqparast vs. Makdessi
Nasrat Haqparast, DEC
mekdessi's recent record is surprisingly green and while i think he's a better technician than nasrat, i'm not sold on this career resurgence.
Gomis vs. Errens
William Gomis, TKO, R1
no clue why this is up so high, gonna go with the favorite because he didn't fight to a decision 2 weeks ago.
Jourdain vs. Wood
Charles Jourdain, DEC
charles is gonna go for it, i'll just hope it doesn't lead to too many td's given up.
Stoltzfus vs. Magomedov
Abusupiyan Magomedov, TKO, R2
skeptical because of the layoff, but it's hard to deny that abus seems to be a finisher. i think dustin will make it a battle though.
Ziam vs. Figlak
Fares Ziam, DEC
i'll take a flyer here and say fares' big show experience helps him survive big flurries and win on the outside.
Imavov vs. Buckley
Nassourdine Imavov, DEC
buckley may very well catch him, but otherwise i'll say imavov fights smart all the way in or all the way out.
Saint-Denis vs. Miranda
Benoit Saint-Denis, SUB, R2
quality of competition
Taha vs. Quiñonez
Cristian Quiñonez, DEC
don't know much about cristian, but his past few opponents have had pretty good records so i'll say he can use his size and make good on the debut.
Perez vs. Egger
Stephanie Egger, DEC
perez's best win is over someone who was only beating rookies so i can't get myself to pick her when egger has looked decent.

Ciryl Gane, SUB, R3
I think at one point Tai is on the ground, mid 3rd round, He tries to get up but a little to sloppy, Ciryl grabs the neck and works a guillotine choke. Secures it fast and strong for the quick tap.
Whittaker vs. Vettori
Robert Whittaker, DEC
Split Dec 29-28x2, 28-29 the 3 round fight, not 5, really puts the tide in Vettori's favor in my opinion.
Imavov vs. Buckley
Joaquin Buckley, TKO, R2
I Think Imavov underestimates the range-securing ability of Buckley. Hooks knock out, out cold.
Di Chirico vs. Kopylov
Alessio Di Chirico, DEC
Not the most entertaining I'll predict 30-27x3 Uni for Alessio.
Gomis vs. Errens
Jarno Errens, TKO, R2
Jarno puts it on jaguar in the 2nd, lands a nice left hook and then takes advantage on the ground G+P almost KO finish, ref steps in.
Jourdain vs. Wood
Nathaniel Wood, DEC
Split Dec 30-27,29-28, 28-29 Real good fight but Wood should win here as long he doesn't stall his gameplan.
Stoltzfus vs. Magomedov
Abusupiyan Magomedov, TKO, R2
Some good grappling exchanges, I think its a fantastic fight and Dustin looks like he might be winning until Absu lands a crushing straight punch.
Haqparast vs. Makdessi
Nasrat Haqparast, DEC
29-28x2, 28-29 Split decision another close one.
Ziam vs. Figlak
Michal Figlak, DEC
Split Decision 29-28x2, 28-29. Real close fight.
Saint-Denis vs. Miranda
Benoit Saint-Denis, SUB, R1
Guillotine SUB 1st round
Taha vs. Quiñonez
Cristian Quiñonez, DEC
30-27x2, 29-28 uni
Perez vs. Egger
Ailin Perez, TKO, R2
Ground and Pound TKO in the late second. I think Egger has alot of edges here but Ailin seems overwhelmingly dangerous.

Buckley vs Imamov is the 3rd best fight on the card behind Wood vs Jourdan and Rob vs Vettori, it’s a meme fighter in Buckley vs a middleweight prospect who going places in Imamov, I’m shocked Imamov is on the prelims

Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 565 Points | Tied for 1336th
Ciryl Gane, TKO, R3
Tuivasa has KO power and will go for the brawl, but Gane is very disciplined in his strategy, he has excellent footwork, movement and pace management. In the past Ciryl Gane neutralized a Jairzinho who is a One-Shot Killer and against Lewis after frustrating him early in the fight he went looking for him in the third round and demolished him in his hometown. Tuivasa has the puncher chance, but I see Gane going in and out and catching with a good hand and finishing with a ground and pound to a Tuivasa that will be more tired than at the beginning of the fight.
Whittaker vs. Vettori
Marvin Vettori, DEC
Vettori is really underestimated by the odds and pickers in this matchup. Whittaker has an excellent TDD, but I think that Vettori's striking is very undervalued and having the advantage of being a southpaw fight against Ortodoxo Vettori will be able to take advantage of his stiking that perhaps is not characterized by a great KO power, but by having a good technique. Whittaker showed phenomenal fight pace against Kevin Gastelum, but if he fights a pace similar to what he had against Adesanya in the rematch, against Till and against Cannonier early on, Vettori could take the initiative and pressurize from the start of the fight. Both fighters have a great volume of striking and have great cardio, but 3 round fights are different from 5 rounds, there can't be as much study during the beginning of the fight and starting slow can cost a decision 29-28 against.
Imavov vs. Buckley
Nassourdine Imavov, TKO, R2
Imavov has looked incredible in his striking in his last fights as well as improving on the ground and scrambles after his fight against Hawes. Buckley has proven to be more than just a Kick-Highlight Reel KO, but I think Imavov has a technical advantage and will catch him with clean shots and finish him off via TKO. Imavov, Muniz and DuPlessis are the new blood at 185 pounds and I think this fight will ratify that.
Haqparast vs. Makdessi
Nasrat Haqparast, TKO, R3
Haqparast has a decent level in both striking and grappling, for him this victory would be important to ensure his permanence in the UFC. Makdessi has a good level of Muay Thai but I consider that Haqparast has more weapons and being in need of this victory Nasrat will go for the TKO. Madkessi has an interesting record of 4-1 in his last 5 fights but Nasrat is on a higher level compared to Pinedo and Bahamondes, for his part Nasrat is coming off 2 losses, but Green and Hooker are a much more complicated matchup than Makdessi.
Saint-Denis vs. Miranda
Benoit Saint-Denis, SUB, R2
Saint-Denis proved himself to be a really tough fighter when he practically lost the second round 10-7 against Zaleski and in the third he managed to win 10-9 in full view of the judges and many fans. Miranda has 15 wins by submission, but BSP and is at a vastly superior level compared to Miranda's past rivals, Benoit should start cautiously but will probably manage to secure a finish in the way he wants.
Perez vs. Egger
Stephanie Egger, SUB, R2
Many surely expect Ailin Perez to take the victory but this perspective is more about her appearance than her fighting skills. Egger is not top, but I do think she belongs to the intermediate level of the women's bantamweight in the UFC: Egger is a legit judoka and has grappling that allowed her to win 2 ADCC European Championships. Perez is 7-1, but the UFC is a completely different level than the Argentina and Uruguay circuit. Egger lost by submission in her last fight, but Mayra Bueno Silva has a really solid bottom game and owns 3 wins by armbar in the UFC. Generally in WMMA I chose female fighters with experience in some martial art (ADCC/BJJ/Combat Sambo medalist, Former Olympic Wrestler/Judoka, Muay Thai Champion, Karate Black Belt, etc.) over a female fighter who started practice MMA directly for some reason.
