Honestly this is a great great fight, arguably even better than the main event, and could easily headline any card anywhere in the world... BUT I feel like it's kinda wasted here. French fans don't care much about Italians, and anyway they don't even need this to be happy. First UFC card in France, full of very promising and elite French talents... I mean Gané-Tuivasa in itself is crazy good, Gané is arguably the second best man in the division and is extremely popular here. Cédric Doumbé is probably the best kickboxer on the planet right now, and he's making his UFC debut on this card, this is a potential Adesanya in the making ! Imavov is a talented top 10 middleweight facing a dangerous and fun test, Benoît Saint Denis is becoming a fan favorite not only in France but for any fan that saw him survive through that insane Zaleski beatdown on short notice without quitting, I mean the man is probably the toughest fighter in the promotion and had a nice sub win last time. Taylor Lapilus is making his UFC comeback after a first successfull stint in the promotion (he was 3-1 in the UFC but was realeased for mysterious reasons), and is a potential top 10 at the very least IMO, and Zarah Fairn is... Well, Zarah Fairn is an old mediocre fighter but she's French. It's a shame Manon Fiorot is not fighting on this card anymore, because that would have been a perfect French blockbuster. My point is, Vettori Whittaker is a tremendous fight, that would be better served as a co main for that terrible PPV Nate Diaz-Chimaev... Just my opinion.
