The comments on the broadcast before the fight were very awkward and disingenuous. First Thomson made it obvious he did not know about Barzola’s gas tank. They made it seem like losing two rounds before pulling off the comeback against Caldwell, especially after a long layoff, is something to be ashamed of. Listening to the talk leading up to the fight you would have thought Mikhailov was the UFC veteran with 17 victories. That being said Barzola was even the betting favorite. After the second round where one might argue a 10-8, they decided to even show the one highlight of Mikhailov. The fight was indeed a mismatch, but a mismatch for El Fuerte!

honestly the main thing that makes me not want to watch Bellator cards is their on-air talent for commentary, analysis and ring announcers. I can pretty much tolerate everything else, even their awkward fights with obviously terrible matchmaking because let's not pretend the UFC doesn't have those either.

I don’t want to be negative but Thomson and McCarthy are very difficult to listen too. With all the aspiring broadcast talent in the MMA world, I’m surprised they haven’t given anyone else a shot recently. Maybe I missed something that explains this. Either way I usually don’t listen to the broadcast. 

How anyone can badmouth Big John is beyond me.

Are you joking brother, Big John make Bellator unwatchable

@anthony I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic but I think he isn’t above criticism. As a commentator especially he could be much better because he makes it to much about himself in my opinion.
