Penne vs. Ducote
Emily Ducote, TKO, R2
I really can see Jessica catching Emily on the ground. That being said, every fight starts standing up. I Emily has a good sense of timing and controls the distance well. More likely she catches Jess in the first and gains some confidence after some stuffed takedowns. Think this fight will be determined by the first round. Second round is a clinic for whoever implements their game. I can’t help but route for Jess on this one. Tough matchup.

Grant vs. Stoltzfus
Dustin Stoltzfus, TKO, R2
Dwight’s body language bothers me. He takes a while to get a rhythm and if he can’t dictate the range or land his right hand he gets flustered and impatient. Dustin seems to be the more technical fighter, but he needs to throw in volume and avoid dwight’s lead left hook. We’ll see how much he’s improved. Dustin also may have the advantage on the ground.

Ortega vs. Rodriguez
Brian Ortega, SUB, R2
Hopefully Brian doesn’t try too hard in the standup. Height and reach are big here.

Waterson vs. Lemos
Amanda Lemos, TKO, R1
I mean. I love Michelle....

Li vs. Salikhov
Jingliang Li, TKO, R2
It’s a toss up for his style. Just can’t run into anything.

Schnell vs. Sumudaerji
Sumudaerji, TKO, R2
Matt trying his best out here.

Burgos vs. Jourdain
Shane Burgos, TKO, R2
I like the height and reach advantage for Burgos. Jourdain isn’t gonna be an easy out.

Murphy vs. Tate
Miesha Tate, DEC
Maybe it’ll be a finish? Idk

Soriano vs. Lungiambula
Punahele Soriano, TKO, R1
I don’t feel comfortable with this one. My book would be happy if there is an upset here lmaoo.

Simón vs. Shore
Jack Shore, TKO, R2
Tough fight, but if Faber can find the shot, so can Jack.

Algeo vs. Burns
Herbert Burns, SUB, R2
Hilbert could very well pull off the upset. His wrestling will be a problem early on and I like him in the clinch. If he can get a hold of him it will be a clinic on the ground.

Jacoby vs. Jung
Dustin Jacoby, DEC
Dustin has the experience and more ways to win. Jung’s style could be difficult for him if he has made significant improvements.

After warching some fights I changed my picks.
I pick Ortega because he has tools to finish Yair in any situation whether it's clinch or on the ground. Yair has to outpoint or KO Ortega, and Ortega has 5 rounds to catch Yair with something.
I watched Schnel's fights turns out he's not that bad, and I think he has good chance of beating Suma.
I also changed my mind on Burgos vs Jourdain. Yeah Burgos is tough and exciting but Jourdain I think is better overall. Burgos relies too much on his chin and toughness.

Random question, just watch Jourdain vs Choi, anyone know what happen to Doo Ho Choi, he haven’t fight since Jordain in 2019, I rembeber being hype on Choi more then  half a decade ago, but losing 3 fights and 2 by ko, and also only fighting twice since the all time classic with Cub Swanson will kill anyone hype

Predictions: 9 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 610 Points   |   Tied for 47th with 2 others

Line movements have seen Jung go from slight underdog (+120) to slight favorite (-127) against Jacoby. I do feel that's the more appropriate line given that Jung did flash some very competent wrestling against Knight which should give him another avenue should the striking lean in Jacoby's favor.

The Alvey draw stands out as his worse performance so far, but it's been almost 2 years since then and he's notched a dominant win over Nzechukwu that's aging pretty well, so I think the prospect train won't get derailed just yet.

Another line movement is Stoltzfus going from +127 to +107. Still a dog, but people are fading Grant which is no shock.

@Damien Choi's struggled with some injuries, hasn't served his military service yet either so he's probably semi-retired at this point. Fun fighter but massively overhyped. Remember some people actually thinking he was a better version of Conor just because he exploited defensive holes from grapplers/sloppy strikers, lol.

I'm still debating on wether Penne is a good dog here, her striking and striking defense is horrible, also she gets hit on the chin a lot.

But she was able to win some grappling exchanges against Lupita more than expected, also Ducote's last few opponents haven't really tried to pull her down.  Lol gotta love picking women's mma.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 490 Points   |   Tied for 451st

Ortega vs. Rodriguez
Brian Ortega, SUB, R2
Ortega is gonna lock up a choke at some point. Rodriguez is always put in an easy spot to be submitted and Ortega will take advantage of that. I also think that Ortega has improved his striking just enough to at least stand a bit with Rodriguez. We can't forget though that Rodriguez is a very good striker and things could go bad for Brian if he decides to just stand and bang.

Waterson-Gomez vs. Lemos
Amanda Lemos, DEC
If this was a 5 round fight, I'd have to pick Waterson. I'm taking Lemos here. She's so good with so much power.

Li vs. Salikhov
Jingliang Li, TKO, R2
Li is gonna pull off the upset. Big knockout coming.

Schnell vs. Sumudaerji
Sumudaerji, TKO, R2
I was so close to picking Schnell and I want him to win but I just can't pick him. His ground game is one of the best in the division and so underrated but his wrestling is trash and he's gonna have trouble getting Su down because he's so big. I've also seen Schnell rocked and knocked out a few times before so his chin is glass.

Burgos vs. Jourdain
Shane Burgos, DEC
3 round war and nobody will give up. I'm taking the experienced Burgos here. Could be fight over the year. Pumped af to see this in person for my first UFC event.

Murphy vs. Tate
Lauren Murphy, DEC
I just haven't liked Tate since she has came back. She used to be so good but coming back and dominating someone that was retiring and then she lost to a good opponent doesn't look the best. Murphy isn't that good and she doesn't really have any skills besides being tough but I could see her mixing in some takedowns and landing some hard shots on Miesha. My point is, I think Tate is better but I don't know where her head is in the fight game anymore.

Soriano vs. Lungiambula
Punahele Soriano, TKO, R1
Puna has POWER and I think this fight ends up staying standing and he will knock Dalcha out.

Simón vs. Shore
Ricky Simón, DEC
I gotta go Simón here. Shore is getting his first loss. Simon is a bigger problem than Shore, in my opinion. Both have very bright futures still.

Algeo vs. Burns
Herbert Burns, SUB, R1
Burns slows down as the fight goes on but he has a huge chance of getting Algeo out of there with a sub early on and that's what he will do.

Jacoby vs. Jung
Da Un Jung, DEC
Jung will win this. He has the option to mix in some takedowns and he's just as good as Jacoby on the feet. I know Jung struggled with Sam Alvey but I'm past that. He's looked great since.

Grant vs. Stoltzfus
Dwight Grant, TKO, R2
Grant is so low volume but Stoltzfus isn't UFC caliber and one punch from Grant is gonna crumble him.

Penne vs. Ducote
Emily Ducote, DEC
Ducote wins this. She needs to keep the fight standing because I think Penne is better on the ground and worse with her striking. Ducote can pick her apart. Nice fight to start the night. Ducote is a decent fighter but don't be surprised if Penne teaches her a vet lesson.

Very nice. I am still breaking everything down but I see a lot of what you do.  Good stuff.

I am definitely not betting it, but I worry about the size of Tate going down a weight class (depending how the weight cut goes) vs 38 year old Murphy.  I will be watching weigh ins for that one.
