Hello fight fans, hope you all are alright.

Based on the success of my previous survey videos (MMA Fan-Favorites & Boxing Southpaws) Thank you all btw for the support.

I'm running another survey, but this time, we are looking across the boarder to Mexico. Mexican-style boxing is synonymous with the sweet science, and MMA, and I want to showcase 7 of the greatest Mexican Boxers in the sport's history. I'm looking for any professional boxer from Mexico, and ranked from 1-7. 1 being the Greatest Mexican Boxers of All-Time.

Yes I know this is an MMA site, but Let me run with this for a second,  I want to see if anyone is interested so, feel free. Would
I'll have my points system of course, and I'll explain when the video comes out. But yeah, if they were "born in Mexico" THEY QUALIFY. The "greatest" part is up to you when you rank your 7.

Championships, weight-classes, length of career, style, and resume, Whatever factors you have for your ranking are your own. But please, 1-7.

Deadline 5/30/2022

This will be interesting, I still need to watch your last video on best southpaws but my boxing knowledge isn't the greatest. Will have to think about this and probably learn a lot trying to pick.

Thanks @flying_frontkick. It is a great style of fighting, and is very much apart of fighting culture, and with boxing coming before MMA, (organization wise) "Mexican style"  of fighting, or in this case, boxing really is born from a culture where having to "keep your chin down and keep moving forward" was a lifestyle as well as a fighting style.

Yeah, I also submitted this to another site (Specifically boxing focused) and the data analyst in me was like "OHHHH COMPARE AND CONTRAST! COMPARE AND CONTRAST!" So, I'm going to take everyones surveys into account, BUT also see if perspectives between sites are drastically different based on the site's main demographic.

God if my high school algebra teacher were here, I'd say "damn it, you were right, I have to use math often." lololol.

But yeah, as long as they are born in Mexico it qualifies. If you submit your ranking of 7 you will be featured in the video.

I tried

1. Juan Manuel Marquez (Classic, watched his fight with Katsidis (sp) stream, watched him knock out PacMan which was amazing)

2. Man this is hard I need to catch up on my boxing

Real 2. Erik Morales

3. This shows I know nothing of boxing but I will edit this post and get to 7,

Real 3: Erik Morales

4. Barrera

I'll be back, I'm trying to list fighters I have seen fight but thought I'd give it a bump

1. Salvador Sanchez
2. Julio Cesar Chavez
3. Ruben Olivares
4. Carlos Zarate
5 Juan Manuel Marquez
6. Marco Antonio Barrera
7. Vicente Saldivar

Honorable Mentions (really wanted to include these guys but only 7)
Erik Morales, Ricardo Lopez, Canelo Alvarez

Edit:  Decided to put Salvador Sanchez no 1, I have only ever seen him on tape(unfortunately before my time) but from what I have seen he is 1 of the best boxers I have ever seen, his ability to switch seemlessly between offence and defence was masterful, his pace was unbelievable (15 round fighter!). Even at his young age his resume is great, featuring wins over several Hall of Fame guys (Azumah Nelson, Danny Lopez, Wilfredo Gomez).
I truly believe that if didn't tragically lose his life at such a young age he would be regarded as a top 10 greatest of all of time.

Also not a huge boxing expert but here's my garbage take anyways.

1: Salvador Sanchez
2: Julio Ceaser Chavez
3: Ruben Olivares
4:Juan Manuel Marquez
5: Carlos Zarate
6; Marco Antonio Barrera
7: Alberto Arizmendi

Ps. I'm more biased towards more recent boxers since I've only just started learning about older fighters. This list will probably shift as I learn more about the sport.

Final Edit!

Sorry, after a little bit of thought I am changing my list!! This time is Final!!

1. Salvador Sanchez
2. Julio Cesar Chavez
3.Ruben Olivares
4. Juan Manuel Marquez
5.Marco Antonio Barrera
6.Erik Morales
7. Ricardo Lopez

In the end I couldn't leave El Terrible off of my list. If I'm including Barrera I have to include Morales, they come as a pair!!!
Also decided to add Finito Lopez, maybe the best Straweight of all time, retired 51-0 (only blemish being a draw because of a Headclash) was a World Champion for over a decade (89-01) and finally because the little guys get no love! So I thought I'd show a little.

It's so hard to narrow it down, ask me tomorrow and I'll want to change it again!!! But no, that's it final.
