I like randy costa (especially because he’s from MA), but he shouldn’t be in the ufc. He should fight in LFA/CES/whatever regional promotion for a few years to get experience. The talent is there but he’s far too green

Also to @kniferusty’s point I remember costa saying he wanted to show improvements that he’d made, but I don’t think he trusted his cardio enough so the output wasn’t there. Basically, I think he spent the whole camp trying to deviate from his style instead of focusing on the problems to fix, and that just created more problems because he was trying to fight like somebody he isnt

I agree with the 3 of you on all of that, good stuff everyone…

Apparently we should all be looking forward to Costa’s next UFC bout ($$$)

100% agree with you on stamann and Rodrigues. I think barring a ko, Gregory should run through Marquez and I honestly don’t know how stamann is gonna do against eddie. He definitely won’t ko him and like you said, he has great tdd

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 440 Points   |   Tied for 2340th

Cerrone vs. Lauzon
Joe Lauzon, TKO, R1
can't wait for lauzon to maul cerrone. sucks that he pulled out last second, hopefully doesn't affect lauzon peaking since he is pretty old

Marquez vs. Rodrigues
Julian Marquez, SUB, R3
rodrigues has a tendency to gas, but he's always dangerous. im thinking that marquez hanging on him will accelerate the process and he'll make a mistake while tired and get squeezed out

Means vs. Holland
Kevin Holland, TKO, R1
means is on a streak, but he's getting old and slowing down. holland has the power to put him out and the speed to catch him. as much as i enjoy means fighting i think it'll be an early night for him

Yanez vs. Kelley
Adrian Yanez, TKO, R2
kelley's aggressive style will probably look good for the first half of round 1 until yanez gets his timing, and gets his respect. if he never gets his respect yanez's counter punches are too slick. only way i see kelley maybe winning this is if he shows a new side to his game from top control if yanez can't stuff the TD late round 1 or round 2

Wineland TDD

Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 2 Perfect, 390 Points   |   Tied for 2943rd

I am one who is sleeping on Wineland's TDD - please tell me why I'm wrong.

I look at his UFC TDD stat and it looks great, but I personally don't put much in that stat as I don't think it's a true metric.
Depending on how many wrestlers one fight's in their career, that stat will be skewed.
Who's the last decent wrestler Wineland has faced and continually stuffed?
