That he's being hyped up to the point where I don't think he's going to even be able to meet people's expectations. He'll probably have to win like 3-4 different weight divisions belts and go undefeated for 20 years. He beat 4 decent fighters and that one dude put him as the 2nd biggest threat to Izzy's MW title...I'm just lost where people are seeing this guy as "that good" already, you barely seen him fight for longer than like 10 minutes...

I think it’s how he’s winning more than fight time extended. Yeah, he’s not beating good guys (except for jingliang and meerschaert but neither guy screams “I’m ready for title contention”) but he’s absolutely creaming them. I mean absorbing 2 total punches in 4 fights is just crazy. Plus, people have been talking about him for a while; I just saw a video of Bryan Stann talking about Khamzat at a ufc presser wayyyy back in 2017. I think he’s getting this push not just because of the hype, but the ufc has seen that Chimaev is living up to their expectations so they’re giving him the fast track.

Chimaev's first two UFC fights were less than two weeks apart. Yes it was lower level but he dominated and did it in ten days! Who does that? That started the hype then the one punch ko on Meerschaert! Then him picking up Jingliang carrying him over to Dana so he could talk to him while he is still holding Jingliang! He has the same ****y attitude that Conor had and he made UFC rich! Doesnt matter if the hype is real or not the UFC will try and make as much money as they can from him!

They’ll somehow sneak Alex perreira in the rankings for no reason but it wouldn’t be bad for Strickland either way he’d just go down to #6 or #7 or something

Ya he should win. Weird step up for pavlovich but he’s one of the few prospects whos actually decent so makes sense they’re just throwing him to the wolves. As long as Derrick isn’t in houston he will be find

Pavlovich isn’t a great matchup for Lewis in my opinion but I’m still not sure who takes it, I’m leaning Sergei for now

With the recent anouncement of Izzy vs Cannonier for UFC 277, and UFC London being another 'Fight Night', by processs of elimination this main has to be Usman vs Edwards. I wouldn't be surprised if Pena vs Nunes II is the co-headliner (TUF 30 episodes should be done airing by then).
And it sounds like Figgy vs Moreno IV is NOT happening (Dana said in the UFC post-fight press conference) ... and Jones vs Stipe for the interm belt (not confirmed but hopeful) would be earliest September... and Sterling is still on his championship unification tour with no real No 1 contender anounced.
Its gotta be Usman/Edwards and Pena/Nunes II.
