people will emotionally bet against strickland(like they did hermansson lol, easy cash). and pereira beat adesanya in a kickboxing match and people will think hes the best striker in the world because of that. remember its mma not kickboxing. prachnio>rountree>saki, as an example. also i wasnt that impressed with pereira in his last fight which shows he has low fight iq

i truly believe strickland can legit outstrike pereira. only thing that might give strickland issues is the leg kicks

He just had to be wary of pereiras power but he can def out volume him on the feet. I really really think he’s gonna wrestle and I think Strickland by sub will be at good odds

Yeah he really does. His fights have been boring recently but at least he’s effective. 25-3 with like 8 years in the ufc is pretty impressive

The funny thing is coming off his 'lackluster' wins (I was fine with his performances but you know what I mean), if Strickland comes in and wrestlef***s Pereira to a win, he's not going to get a title shot off that? Maybe, idk. But it seems hard for Strickland to come out a winner from that perspective, unless he starches Pereira, and let's be real, that would be a surprise.

He wouldn’t get a title shot off of this win anyways. The ufc is giving him this fight with the intentions of forcing pereira up the rankings to fight izzy. If Sean wins he will probably fight winner of vettori/whittaker or winner fo costa/rockhold (costa vs rockhold isn’t set yet but I’m 95% sure it’s happening)

They chose Sean cuz most of the top 5 is booked already (or in the process of being booked) and the ufc definitely didn’t want to give him someone like Brunson or hermansson who would just wrestle**** him to death. Even tho sean is probably gonna do the same thing to him but people don’t realize because Sean is a boxer

Strickland and Till are the best matchups for Pereira in the top 10, I thought they’d do the Till fight. Seems like they want Pereira vs Izzy after Izzy beats Jared.

This will be a close fight until Strickland shoots and beats him with take downs for the last 2 rounds watch this happen Strickland has very good striking defence he’s not going to take many chances he will pump the jab and the leg kick and use the takedowns pereira has very good kicks but he’s boxing isn’t as good and he seems to only land when he’s close with he’s punchers
