That’s 1 vs 4. That’s the seeding. I think it’s intriguing to run the rematch back only a few months later.

I don’t. He was winning the fight until he lost but you have to be a special kind of washed to get tapped by a spine twister. Don’t get me wrong, ray is good on the ground but you don’t get subs like that unless the opponent is clueless on the ground. Pettis is far from clueless on the ground so I think he’s just washed. An ultra vet like that should not lose in that fashion

I think its fun that Pettis will get is ass kick again!

Hard to call between Wilkinson and Monte. For now i go with Monte by KO but i could change my pick before fight night.

Carlos Junior will win but I think Akmedov is experienced enought to avoid the tap.

Aubin Mercier by UD 29-28 on each card.

Rob Wilkinson has looked ultra impressive in his last two fights. I want to see if he can continue that streak against Monte.

Also it would be a great storyline to see Monte pull of the upset and possibly earn a rematch for $1 million with his fellow hometown guy Shoeface.

This fight is pretty prime.

I may be wrong but I think the Wilkinson look great again weaker opposition and really bad when the level increase like Michael Page or Joaquim Buckley

These fight are all great and actually don't seem like mismatches. Been awhile since I've said that about PFL. I honestly am uncertain about all my early picks. Toughest one to call has to be ACJ vs Omari, battle of former UFC middleweight contenders. It will definitely be ACJ's toughest fight since entering PFL. I might still pick Pettis against Ray given that the reason he lost was due to shooting a fail takedown while looking pretty crisp on the feet, though given how well Ray was able to control him on the ground as soon as the fight got there, I wouldn't be surprised if he goes for a more wrestling heavy game plan and pulls away with a victory in the rematch.

Acj vs Omari is a great fight; could quite literally have been a ufc fight just a year ago. Should be fun and for pfl, a pretty high level one

They were both ranked in the top 20 when they left the UFC. I would say their stock has only gone up, albeit they fight in a different weight division. The PFL season is a different type of challenge that probably has something to do with both guys fighting at 205 now.

Yeah they were great in the UFC too man. Around that top 20 mark like Michael said. Both of them left with an L to Brad Tavares too, so we could've probably seen them matched cos of it. But they seem to do good without having to cut as much weight in PFL, they do seem a bit undersized, especially ACJ in his last fight. PFL not having a middleweight division is pretty dumb imo given a lot of their LHW can cut down to middleweight but I get it, fighters having to cut a lot of weight in a 2-3 month period could be dangerous.

It was contract running out for Omari. Probably the same with acj. Actually, I think he got cut because of the L streak

It’s hard to put Shoeface in the top 15 when he left the UFC because he had just lost to three guys who were in the 10-15 range when he was let go. He had fell out of the UFC rankings too. But maybe he would be in the top 15 again if he had stayed. With all that said I think it was for the best for him to join the PFL when he did.
