This should be Oliveria vs volk for the title imo. No clear contender in either division. Makachev beats two guys who were coming in on short notice now he gets to fight on his side of the world. It's a great fight but if oliveria wins he has to have a fight in Brazil its only right

Gotta side with Makhachev on this one, he's in home territory.  He's also not going to stand and bang with Oliveira like Gaethje, Poirier and Chandler did.  He's going to be relentless with his wrestling.  Oliveira has to get a crazy submission off his back or land a flash KO to win this one which is possible but doubtful.  Makhachev will get the takedowns and probably will win by decision or by a late finish.

This is such an intriguing match-up. I'm a fan of both fighters.

I think there's going to be some ******** happening again. Maybe it happens during the weigh-ins. Maybe it happens during the fight. Maybe it happens during the drug test.

People are saying that Oliveira is the "real champion", but I think Vacant is going to prove everyone wrong and defend his title.

If this card is free like the last Abu Dahbi card then that would be amazing. I doubt it though, Charles vs Islam is one of the biggest fights of the year so I think they’ll want their money’s worth

The people who are dying for Volk to go to 155 are crazy to me. Is everyone just so obsessed with lightweight that they want Volk to not have another fight at 145 ever again? The logistics and timelines people keep throwing out make no sense. Maybe at some point down the line it will make sense, but it doesn't now. There's new names for Volk to take on at 145, Yair, Emmett, Mitchell, Evloev, etc, and 155 doesn't need Volk coming in and muddying up the title picture and trying to keep 2 belts busy.

Volk to 155 is like bad casual fan fiction.

Volk wouldn't win the title anyway, and if he did he wouldn't keep it long enough to defend it. Him vs Oliveira is just such an intriguing matchup, and Islam doesn't really deserve a title shot but he's getting we because we don't give a **** anymore, he's on a huge win streak, he's Khabib's protégé/extremely dominant, and no one else is worthy either. He's the most deserving by default. I think that's why a lot of people want to see Olives vs Volk, but worthy or not, Islam vs Charles is realistically the better more correct match to make. And **** it might even be the more intriguing fight tbh

Surprised how many people on here are picking Oliveira. I thought it'd be split down the middle.

Islam doesn't make the Let's Bleed mistakes that Chandler, Poirier, and Gaethje make that let Charles back into all three of those fights.

Islam better everywhere lol, knocking out a post steroid tibau doesn't make you a better striker than the guy who ****** up Michael Chandler and Justin Gaejthe on the feet. Islam has some nice left overhands and some really mint knees to the body but he is in no way better on the feet
