If you are going to bet Zhalgas, that would be the way to bet him (decision). I'm sure if they fought 10 times, he could win 2 or 3 times.  So it isn't the worst play.  I just know that Molina has looked amazing every time he has gone out there and he is just getting better.  I will not be fading him in this spot.  I think he puts on a striking clinic.  Molina's cardio is on another level.  I think it is a bad match up for Zhalgas.

What is crazy about Zhalgas is that I was so much higher on him before he was in the UFC when he fought in FNG.  He has far and away better wins there than he does in the UFC and the competition he was facing was almost as good if not as good as what he has faced.  I mean Paiva in the UFC is okay.  I don't know how good Albazi is yet...but I have a feeling he is solid at worst and we will found out how good he is going to be soon.  But man, I know he is a bit overrated (just because he is so one dimensional) but Tagir is a hell of a win when you are outside of the UFC.  ****, Tagir is probably Tim Elliot's best win and he had to fight dirty as hell to get it lol.  I am pretty sure he beat Tyson Nam, too.

Zhalgas also makes me laugh because he has a look of extreme concern on his face in every photo taken of him lol.

Right? That’s what I was thinking about zhalgas when I was doing tape for his last fight. Granted, the tagir win was a bit of a robbery but he’s got a resume that is more than enough to put him in the top 15, yet he hasn’t been able to capitalize on that same success in the ufc, despite beating many high level names

I think confidence, especially when it is warranted and earned, is the most dangerous intangible a fighter can have.  And man, these fighters know.  They know in their heart when they go in there if they are going to win or should win.  That to me is huge.  So yeah, I am extremely confident in Molina's ability to get this win.  Just listening to him in interviews the last two years and watching him... Molina is extremely confident.  But I'm not naïve. Zhalgas needs this win and he is more than capable of getting a victory.  I just think the reach, speed, CONFIDENCE, and the cardio of Molina is going to be very difficult to overcome.

Can someone please educate me on why Joe Solecki is a moderate favorite?

I watched Alex da Silva and although he’s had it up & down in the UFC, he comes off as very dangerous + his technique & form look solid

Help me out!

I haven’t watched tape on da silva yet but I’m sure solecki is the favorite because he’s fought better competition, has better losses, and is a very high level grappler while we’ve seen da silva subbed by the likes of alex yakovlev

Yeah, I can't lay -240 on Solecki.  He might win but dog or pass... probably pass for me.  I don't blame you for putting a sprinkle or something on a dog shot there.

Does anyone remember if Saint Denis took his UFC debut vs. Zaleski on last minute notice?

I thought he did but can’t confirm

I’m pretty sure he did. I think zaleski was supposed to fight someone else but they pulled out before the contracts were signed and denis replaced him

Ok great. I’m just going to assume Denis’ gas tank that day was depleted due to that fact. The man demonstrated tremendous durability.
