The butthurt is strong this morning.

Judging is an opinion. There are no "points" being scored and different people have different opinions and most MMA fans need to learn the difference between clear and close.

Also it is HILARIOUS that Sal D'Amato is the judge who scored it for Holm

Pissed I changed my Viera & medic picks. I would've went 9-2. Holly's age & time off worried me but everyone seemed so confident in her I even bet on her like a dumb ****. Its time for Holly to retire if all she can do is knee to the thigh in the clinch against the cage. She's a boxing world champ but idk if I've ever seen her use effective boxing

That was one of the worst main events, Holm pretty much threw the same combination every round. Vieira definitely had more power in her punches, where as Holm looked like pillows. Plus, she is quite boring. I don't care who won never put them in a main event again ever.

Oh yeah, and stalling against the fence doing nothing isn't winning the fight.

Michel Pereira is the real deal now. He picked apart Ponzinibbio with relative ease. I think he is definitely has enough skill to beat a top 10 opponent. I want to see how well he does against Masvidal next

I was very confident in Holm if winning 60% of the time counts as being very confident. At the end of the day you're not allowed to pick both fighters on Tap.

@cornball I agree, anyone who says they enjoyed the main event is indeed a simp virgin. No shame in being a simp either, I thoroughly enjoyed the Ricci/Viana fight for that exact reason.

Bro, I don’t want to watch Holm hug her agaist the fence for 5 rounds, doing no effective offence, that literally her fighting style and a don’t want to watch it as I rather watch grass grow or paint dry then watch it. I watch enough Holly Holm fight to know that it going to suck, literally all of her fight are ****,

She got 40% of the fight in clinch control and still lost because she did nothing with it, I’m not going to watch it as that lame, and the Holm style that I hate

Also cheeseball think rose vs Esparza is a good fight,

The card delivered well. Ponzi vs Pereira was such a great fight and Pereira always succeeds bringing entertaining performances. Could easily be the main event.
Viera landed more accurate significant strikes, but low volume. I thought Holm won but not by much. She had more volume but didn’t do any damages. Vieira almost submit holly and wobbled her multiple times, forcing holly to stall the fight.
Ketlen has a lot of work to do. She is originally a judoka on her basis, yet does not understand basic fundamentals of it being applied to MMA.  Also not much effectiveness when pressed up against the cage! Combinations lacked consistency, no follow up on strikes. Maybe she needs a sports psychologist. She doens't look comfortable under pressure and I think it's affecting her gameplan.

Respect and appreciation for Holly Holm. She was there in the early days of WMMA. Pioneer Legend.

Watched Holm vs Viera late last night.

Holm did not win that fight. Not only did she not win, but it shouldn't even have gone to split. Holm had the higher output but she landed nothing that really achieved anything the entire fight. Effort is not scored.

I can only stomach 1 of these rounds per sitting I think so I'm only done watching round 1 of Holm Vieira so far. Close because almost nothing happened but I score it for Holm. They did about the same damage but Holm had a bit higher strike numbers and looking at secondary criteria she kept Vieira pressed against the cage for more than half the round.

Why do you guys bet a fighter in the Women's fights? I just always go with betting that they go the distance and my money isn't decided by these atrocious judges. I won 4 parlays because it went to decision. Plus the decision was pretty much the same line as Holm winning. So it didn't affect the odds that much on my parlay.

Just an idea for the future instead of letting these corrupt judges hold your life in their hands.

Well in the Hughes vs Reed fight I bet Hughes bc my evaluation was that they were pretty closely matched on he feet with Reed perhaps having a small advantage while in the grappling Hughes would have a real advantage, especially in using wrestling to challenge Reed's poor takedown defense. So I held Hughes as a small favorite going in but was offered the bet at +137 which I considered a good EV.

Other than that I had no WMMA bets this card but I make good money from WMMA fights. I can see how people despair on betting them if they insist on betting the favorite and more so if they put them in parlays.

Round 2 again very even in the striking.

As an aside on how I look at it, I don't rewatch it 49 times or whatever Luke Thomas did but when I really try to score a fight I'll count all the strikes back and forth and give 0 0.5 or 1 point depending on severity, sub attempts knockdowns etc can give any number of points depending on how severe. Not at all according to any official rules or very scientific but it helps me keep track in close rounds.

So rd 2 was slight edge Holly in striking but the sub attempt from Vieira which I awarded 3 pts makes up for it and puts her ahead. Wrestling as per the literal interpretation of the rules scores nothing  except 1 pt for the slam against the canvas but is otherwise just a vehicle to get in position to dmg or attempt to sub. It is a good tiebreaker though if scoring is very close.

19-19 going into rd 3.
