Ya it’s possible. Speaking of getting chinned, I think Vince morales stands a solid chance at winning this. Martinez is the better fighter but is quite chinny. Morales has some power in his hands.

The thing is that I'm talking about betting here, Jaiton Almeda should win like 85% of the time on the betting line, Which I would agree if they were the same size, But 50lb weight advantage and Almeda suppose to be fighting at 205 will make it harder to wresle, I think I cap it like 60% Jaiton winning

I do think fighter fighting up a divison on short notice is a bad carrer decision, I have to respect the balls of Almeda, The risk to reward is so bad as losing to Porter is bad for credibilty, Just look at Loopy Godinez, She lost so much hype because she fought a girl way bigger then her and couldn't take her down, But when she fight at her weight class she is so good, Also  Illa Topuria almost got slept by Jai Herbart as a -600 and he lucky he didn't as that would of lose so much credibilty,

Also, Fans don't care about it, But fighter who do this derseve so much respect, So respect to Loopy, Illa and Jaiton for going up a division to entertain us Morons on short notice, Even if it a huge risk to they're credibility as losing to bad fighter look bad, And then being a lot bigger then them make it more likely

Totally agree about the weight issue, I took note of that lesson when I lost big on Loopy Vs. Carolina

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 11 Winners, 3 Perfect, 470 Points   |   Tied for 1686th

Holm vs. Vieira
Holly Holm, DEC
Got my confidence back with my picks after an average run, so thought I'd post early. Need to do some refreshing so some of these picks may change close to fight time. Still this looks like a good card to bet on. First up I think Holly Holm is just a level above Ketlen. She is not going to fight like Tate did and I can't see her losing the striking with Ketlen. Over 5 rounds Ketlen will likely slow down and Holmes will take her apart bit by bit. Close to a lock imo.

Ponzinibbio vs. Pereira
Michel Pereira, DEC
I don't think Ponzi is the force he once was. And I think Pereira is fighting a lot smarter and has improved his cardio. His distance management is really good and I think he will pick apart Ponzi from the outside to win a decision.

Njokuani vs. Todorović
Chidi Njokuani, TKO, R2
Dusko is not good. Chidi is good. Ends in a finish.

Porter vs. Almeida
Jailton Almeida, SUB, R2
Porky pig to the slaughter. Pun intended. Really like Porter but this is a mismatch.

Viana vs. Ricci
Polyana Viana, DEC
I rate Polyana nowadays. I think she will be too good all round for Ricci.

Anders vs. Park
Jun Yong Park, DEC
Anders ain't knocking out Park and his cardio is questionable. I think Park will just wear him out over 3 rounds.

Holmes vs. Amedovski
Joseph Holmes, SUB, R2
An absolute **** show. I swore I would never pick Holmes again after he **** the bed with one of the worst fighters on the roster in Pickett. But the UFC really seems to love this dude even though he is not good and they have given him a match up that I cannot ignore. If Holmes gets it to the ground he will dominate this. And I do think that last fight he may have had an adrenaline dump. He sure took a dump though, on all of us. Hopefully this time he will beat the can. I have no idea how Amedovski beat Will Fluery.

Morales vs. Medic
Omar Morales, TKO, R3
I really liked Medic before. But what I saw of him in his last fight was alarming, he looked chinny and looked like he was gassed. Most of his wins have been R1 and he really looks like his cardio could be a problem if he cannot KO is oppenent early. Even though Morales is moving up in weight class apparently he has the longer reach and he seems to be durable and skilled. I think if he does not get KOd early he will pressure Medic and wear him down for a late finish.

Martinez vs. Morales
Jonathan Martinez, DEC
Not sure how good Morales actually is. His wins are not that good and his losses are not good either. I think Martinez is good however and should win this.

Hooper vs. Colares
Felipe Colares, DEC
Hooper is going to be much bigger, I have no idea why Collares (who I find really annoying) is taking this fight. However I think he will be able to avoid getting choked out and I think his striking will be just too much for Hooper over 3 rounds.

Reed vs. Hughes
Elise Reed, DEC
I really do not think Hughes is that good. And though she beat Nunes last fight that is because Nunes is stupid. Reed on the other hand does have some pretty good skills and now she is fighting someone her own size I think she wins this.

Hooper has 6'' reach advantage to jab and defend, also don't you think he will take some takedowns and lay on Colares?

Morales vs. Medic
Uros Medic, TKO, R2
Medic's ceiling is still incredibly high IMO. Turner is beginning to look like a force at 155, so I feel like that loss is going to age well. Medic reminds me of Yair in the way he strikes; very dynamic, lots of angles, and explosive.

His striking is the worst I have seen in the UFC and that's saying something. And his striking defence is terrible too. So not worried about the striking aspect. One thing I will give the kid is he has a chin on him and is really hard to KO.

As for the takedowns his wrestling is pretty poor as well, mainly pulls gaurd, rolls for a leg or swings to the back when against the cage. Any of those could happen if Collares is not careful or if he engages on the ground (he does not seem very bright so he certainy could!). And if Hooper gets it to the ground his length could really wrap up a submission quickly. But I do think Collares has to be aware of this and he seems to be decent with his BJJ so I am guessing he defends things and pieces him up on the feet. I think he is a black belt in both BJJ and judo for what it's worth.

As much as I wanna see Chase succeed, his striking is vile and a few months of specialized training will not get it up to where it needs to be. Colares definitely takes this, imo, and Chase Hooper needs to spend some time gaining experience in the regional scene. Still too raw and green for the UFC.
