It has to do with Tapology.  When making picks, a lot of people play follow the leader and you can get a super skewed view of what the perception really is.  That is why MVP is a bit of a favorite on Tapology but a considerable dog by the oddsmakers.  That was the comparison.

@+110... sign me up for Lyoto to teach a young boy one more lesson before he hangs it up.  That would be something for him to go to Edwards home and get it done.

Is not very good.  That really is all there is to it.  If Lyoto wasn't 43, this wouldn't even be a discussion.  

I already placed a bet on machida

I put 20 bucks on a MVP/Machida Parlay just for ****s.. lol...

But I did put 50 on Machida at +118 yesterday.

I think Storley will win, but I do worry like... if he doesn't submit MVP what will the judges do?  And also if he botches a take down, MVP could end his night fast.  The plus money is too much to pass up.

The reason he is where he is and why he was fed so many bum opponents is because Bellator had to compete with the UFC in making the product exciting.  All of his antics and awkward, yet entertaining, style comes with a price (See MVP vs Lima I).  His last fight, I was on the MVP side because I thought for sure he was going to to rewrite his wrongs and do what he needed to win.  God damn.  This guy hasn't changed and won't change.  I was very fortunate to get that decision in my favor, as I hit every other pick on that card to cash a nasty full card parlay and make 5K.  But it came at the price of my blood pressure.  I wouldn't pick MVP on a full card parlay.  I would only use him to hedge.  This guy can sell fights and make it entertaining.  But the difference between him and Izzy or Conor or other exciting fighters that have become champions is that he doesn't know when to lock down the correct plan to ensure a path to victory.  He is another Melissa Gatto from last weekend. Gatto had all of the opportunities to win that fight but she kept trying to get a snazzy finish.  He would rather look good and lose than look bad and win.  So if I am a Storley backer here, I would feel real good about the fight IQ when it comes to actually putting a game plan together.  MVP has never seen 5 rounds.  He has never been in a 5 round fight.  Logan Storley has.  He took out Neiman Gracie via 5 round decision his last time out.  That is massive.  I have actually reneged my max bet on MVP and adjusted it to sprinkles (thank God I got that before the line moved again or I would have lost money).  It is definitely buyer beware with MVP.  You cannot count on him to fight an adjusted game plan other than what he has already been doing every fight in his career so far.
