Challenger Series was just what PFL needed. This format will serve as a filter for the participants in the tournaments, thus avoiding recycling fighters who are far from their best moment but have gone through good promoters (UFC, Bellator) and avoid the missmatches that abounded last season (many were actually inevitable related to tournament injuries, COVID cases, or failure to make fighting weight). Best of all is looking at the possibility of matchups between the champions and the PFL's current established roster against the PFL's new blood (the fighters who qualify via the Challenger Series, likely to come not just from the LFA and Titan FC, but also the best talents from promotions from different continents).

Just saw they are doing 6 different challenger series shows, I thought it was just going to be one big card. F**king brilliant from PFL a way to almost make like a DWCS but for other young up and coming talent. Just saw them post an Olympic wrestling female in one of them that is a lightweight, it'll be interesting how some of these guys/girls do here. Loving what PFL is doing!

Similar to how pretty much Strikeforce started this "Challenger" series, they use to have their own version, I believe Tyron Woodley was born through it before his war with Nate Marquardt
