Ian Garry, SUB, R2
RNC I Think Garry gets SLIGHTLY tested here, but realizes he has part of his game that can be better than Weeks.

Raquel Pennington
Alot of splits tonight. Yikes!! Title alerts. Pennington by Split 29-28,28-29 someone gives Aspen the last two rounds.

Alexander Volkanovski, DEC
Uni 49-46, 48-47x2 I think Zombies relentlessness and warrior spirit is actually an insanely underlooked factor here, I think he cracks Volk and rocks him once. I think he keeps it very interesting and close, however Volk is too smart of an athlete, too well rounded. What an awesome fight, awesome to see Zombie in this spot. Enjoy the fights.
Sterling vs. Yan II
Aljamain Sterling, DEC
Split Dec 49-26,48-47, 47-48 I don't know. It's a feeling. Aljamain has the weight of his belt, the fans, and his last performance on his shoulders, and nevermind his surgeries.
Burns vs. Chimaev
Khamzat Chimaev, TKO, R1
BORZ. THE WOLF. LETS GO!!! I think they meet in the middle of the cage, and the second Burns takes a step backwards Chimaev will take huge strides to corner Burns quick. It makes Burns anxious to shoot. Chimaev stuffs, they exchange, Chimaev crushed Burns with a left and a right hook. KO, to Ground and pound finish. Brutal. Next double champ is here.
Dern vs. Torres
Tecia Torres, DEC
29-28x2, 30-27 UNI I think Torres is able to keep this standing, as well as be able to pick her shots as the fight elongates.
Pichel vs. Madsen
Mark Madsen, TKO, R3
As the fight goes on it becomes Mark's fight, imo he wants to end this one. Back mount TKO.

We often complain about judges and rightly so but at least there is often some sort of consistent logic unless they just missed a major event in a round. For example they might put more weight on wrestling than damage even though the latter is the main scoring criteria.
In the McKenna fight it was very close on the feet round 1 until Hansen took McKenna down close to the end of the round and took her back. She tried once for a RNC but then just held on and let the clock run out as McKenna pitter patter hit her. The judges gave McKenna round 1 based on those caresses. So clearly they didn't care about the takedown back mount and RNC attempt over the smallest edge in damage. Fine.
Then we go to round 2 and Hansen clearly outstrikes McKenna to start with here, then takes her down again. Toward the end of the round McKenna reverses and ends the round on top having dealt no effective ground and pound from the top position at the end of the round. Now the judges flip flop and decide position is the more important criteria and give McKenna round 2 based on her ending on top.
Round 3 is clearly for Hansen on all accounts including the judges. So either way you look at it, damage scores more or control is more important Hansen should be at least 29-28. I had her 30-27.
She then goes up a weight class and can't wrestle a much bigger fighter than herself and loses.
There's also the question of her having fought a ton of fights in Invicta, one of the absolute best promotions for WMMA. But now suddenly Hansen is considered ****?
What level of competition has Rodrigues faced?
