@AyyLmaonnaise

Fair enough man, Chris could use his kicks against the more boxing oriented Danaa but he could always get his kicks punished too

Yeah idk how it’s gonna go. Danaa got lucky because how you beat him is wrestling and now he’s fighting a guy who also doesn’t like wrestling. It’s gonna be fought where both are most comfortable. Danaa has some slick ass striking and crazy power; I recently found out he won all of his kickboxing matches in Mongolia by ko

I had no idea Oleynik-Latifi was a thing, will be interesting to see if Aleksei can get the sub - I personally think Latifi is good enough to not get caught.

Latifi should keep it on the feet and he could easily ko oleinik but I worry his instincts are going to make him wrestle. While we did see oleinik just stay on bottom position by spivak, it’s still a risk anytime you are on the ground with oleinik. Also even though there is a 6 year age difference, latifi isn’t exactly young and while 38 isn’t ancient for HW, I would say latifi is past his prime as he fought the majority of his career at 205. Most people didn’t think he won his last fight either (although I thought he did just enough to eek it out).

Latifi had (in my opinion at least) a prettty close fight with Lewis so I feel like many sleep on him. But we can't overlook the fact that he was already undersized at LHW, nevermind heavyweight. Sadly he's just a tank and can't go down to MW where he could do well.

The wrestling thing, yeah I also have the feeling he'll try to get inside and wrestle which could very well land him in some trouble against a crafty guy like Oleynik.

Funny enough, latifi will be bigger than oleinik. Latifi is around 235-40 lbs while oleinik fights at only 225-230. Also I thought latifi beat lewis but you do have to look at the fact that Derrick lewis really has 0 grappling so if you have wrestling skills you can neutralize his striking pretty easily. It was a “good” (I say this because the fight was so boring) performance but doesn’t carry as much weight as it does on paper

Oh ok I thought he was like 5 7 my bad I guess 5 10 is pretty much what DC was.
But weight is only one factor its not a deadlift comp BJJ is technique and Alexi is a wizard.
I will wait and see the weigh ins..

TakeDown Thoughts

Predictions: 4 of 6 Winners, 1 Perfect, 255 Points   |   Tied for 3470th

Hello All -

Anyone care to give their thoughts on potential takedown success rates for -

- Askarov On Kara France?
&
-McMann On Rosa?

I don't have reason to believe Blaydes won't get endless takedowns on Daukaus

I’m not too sure actually. I looked at askarovs fights and his tda is actually pretty low while Kai has an 87% tdd. Askarov couldn’t takedown Tim Elliot lol. Not saying it’s definite but something to look in to for sure

kkf is on a good run no doubt but Askorov should win his one handily.
