Allen vs. Hooker
Arnold Allen, DEC
Showcase moment. No idea why Allen is the betting dog, but skill-for-skill, he's superior just about everywhere.

Is this card in danger? I heard England isn't issuing visas to Russian citizens right now.

They just cancelled the Koreshkov vs Paul Daley fight in Bellator London because UK has stopped all visas for Russian citizens.. not looking good for a few fighters

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 2 Perfect, 530 Points   |   Tied for 2190th

Volkov vs. Aspinall
Tom Aspinall, TKO, R2
I've got a decent record with picks recently but have made a lot of mistakes. Part of that was listening to other people and not going with my gut. So I am going to make my picks early this time. No tape study and just go with what I know and feel. And will only change picks post weigh in depending on my reads. Lets see if this gets me up over 80% for the card. First fight, I am a strong believe in Aspinall, I think he is the real deal. Only issue I have is his gas tank is an unknown. I think the UFC is setting up this spot for him but it's a tough challenge. That said he is the better wrestler and grappler and I see him taking this to the ground. Volkov has low output and even on the feet I think Aspinall has better boxing. As long as he does not gas himself out trying to unload early I think he takes this.

Allen vs. Hooker
Dan Hooker, DEC
Allen is good, very good but I think the competition he has faced is nowhere near the level Dan has. I think if Dan makes weight he will be too big and strong for Allen, and may even win the grappling. You give a high level striker a 5 inch reach advantage and I think that is too much to over come.

Pimblett vs. Vargas
Paddy Pimblett, SUB, R1
I have not been impressed with Vargas, too slow and too old. Paddy is bigger and quicker and will probably win this easily.

Nelson vs. Sato
Gunnar Nelson, SUB, R1
I think this is simple, Gunnar has good submissions, Sato gets submitted. Gunnar has also fought the better competition.

Abdurakhimov vs. Pavlovich
Sergei Pavlovich, TKO, R2
Shamil needs to retire. He is too slow and too old. This should end in a finish either way but I think the younger fighter wins.

Krylov vs. Craig
Nikita Krylov, DEC
Craig has only 1 way to win, and as much as I question Krylov's fight IQ, he has the better wrestling to keep it standing and the better striking.

Shore vs. Valiev
Jack Shore, DEC
Good fight, I have always felt Valiev is over rated, and a win over Barcelos who is in decline and showing poor fight IQ does not change my mind here. Shore should not give Valiev the fight he wants and should press the action. He is better on the ground and I expect him to take it there often.

McCann vs. Carolina
Molly McCann, DEC
Not sure what to make of this one, even though Lunana beat a smaller Lupita by bullying her on short notice I feel she will find it harder to do that against McCann. I think McCann will wrestle and get a decision. This is one fight I am not sure about though.

Mokaev vs. Durden
Muhammad Mokaev, DEC
How can you bet against a Russian called "The Punisher". Also I do not like Durden.

Grundy vs. Amirkhani
Makwan Amirkhani, DEC
Fight of 2 wrestlers with poor cardio. That said I think Makwan has fought the better competition and has better submissions. This is a close one and I could be wrong, but I will take Amirkhani. May change my mind on this one later on though.

Reed vs. McKenna
Cory McKenna, DEC
Another close one, and though Elise looked bad in her last fight, it was up a weight class on short notice. She has a win over Jasudavicius who Kay Hansen (McKennas last win) lost to, and from what I remember of her fights she is very active as a striker and is even active off her back with decent scrambles. Not sure how good McKenna actually is. This is a fight I could be wrong about but I will take Reed who is the same size and McKenna. I expect Reed to be the dog and I am willing to take a shot here.

Wood vs. Morales
Nathaniel Wood, DEC
I think Wood is very good. And though Morales is also good I think he is a cut below. Also Morales lost to Domingo Pilarte, now knowing what a bum he was I cannot get my head around that.

Herbert vs. Topuria
Ilia Topuria, SUB, R1
Topuria future title challenger

Volkov vs. Aspinall
Tom Aspinall, DEC
Volkov is not stopping Aspinall's takedowns

Allen vs. Hooker
Dan Hooker, DEC
It's coin toss. Yeah, hooker has 3 losses in last 5 fights. But look at his opponents and Allen's opponents. It's gonna be a kickboxing match.

Pimblett vs. Vargas
Paddy Pimblett, DEC
dont know much about these guys, only thing I know is that Plimbet has iron chin.

Nelson vs. Sato
Gunnar Nelson, DEC
Dont' know much about Sato. Prolly Nelson is gonna get the w.

Abdurakhimov vs. Pavlovich
Sergei Pavlovich, TKO, R1
Pavlovich is washed up.

Krylov vs. Craig
Paul Craig, TKO, R1
Actually it's 50/50 fight. Craig is on that 5 match no loss streak, on other hand Krylov is struggling with loss-win streak pattern. It's because Krylov had more dangerous opponents. I think Craig might sub him.

Lack of activity concerns me, but I don't see why Sergei shouldn't win this. He's so explosive.

You can tell how highly then think of Paddy skill wise that he first 2 opponent are Luigi Vendrimi and Rodrigo Vargas, If they though Paddy was great or anything, They make the Jared Gorden fight after the **** talk and stuff, But we all know Paddy would get impregnated by Gorden wresling

But Honestly, I ain't mad because I can enjoy the fun of it, Paddy has fun fights and has a fun personality, But i'm not hype for him as a contender because he is mediocre, I don't think MMA is all about who the best is, or get pick right, I enjoy the fun and wacky **** mostly, And watching Gorden wrestle Paddy be lame
