It is strange to have picked his only loss

because of these lightweight fights this is the card im waiting the most for

I can already tell I’m gonna have a **** nights for picks on this card. So many underdogs that could hit

I think cirkunov and dariush are much more live than people think. I think arman could definitely ko Gregory but I think Gregory’s grappling makes the difference. I think ziam could definitely win too but I’m going with McKinney 

If you are going to take Islam for this one, consider taking him "inside the distance".  All of Dariush's losses have been finishes so there's a good chance that Islam gets a sub here or perhaps ground and pound to a finish.  I also watched an interview with Khabib a little while back where he mentioned Islam would get a double bonus if he was to finish Dariush.

am I too early in my predictions to say that Alvarez is going to be the dark horse in this division?

Petrosyan doesn't have a win against a person who's name doesn't end with "ov" or "ev"... go figure.

I agree about Alvarez, I'd label him the dark horse too. I think it's his threat that wins him this: although he's not facing dull competition, Arman does tend to put himself in potentially disadvantageous positions, even it's just for a few seconds. And with Joel's finishing instincts I don't think that helps him here.

Arman - Joel is like a gift for UFC fans

This whole card is imo. So much international talent on this card

Terrance Mckinney, Gregory, and Arman I’m all fairly confident will lose…Terrance has heavy hands and is very explosive, but is lacking in some of the technical skills. Think with Fares’s tested chin, he can wether the early storm and win a decision behind the straight punches. The Gregory one is self explanatory. Dude is chinny asf and with a guy like Armen, I don’t see that going too well for him. Arman is a great fighter,but I think this is one of those situations where he is facing an even greater fighter. Arman is good everywhere. He is mainly a wrestler, but surprisingly has good kicks and some decent boxing. I think the glaring weakness in his striking is that he over extends on A LOT of his combos, leaving his chin open for the taking. He also just forgets to keep his guard up at times and rushes in with his chin up in the air. I think on the ground he is going to have a lot of trouble with Joel. Arman has a very lay and pray sort of style. This works when you’re stronger than you’re opponent, but with a guy like Joel who is MASSIVE for the division and is phenomenal off his back, I don’t think he’ll be able to hold him down for extended periods of time. I think Joel will win a close yet decisive decision here

I agree on arman losing but not Gregory or Terrance. I do agree Rodrigues is pretty chinny, but he can stand with someone like arman. Don’t forget, arman was getting destroyed in the grappling before getting the ko and Gregory is a phenomenal grappler. He hasn’t used it as much because he’s fallen in love with the striking but if he decides to use it here (which I would he shocked if he doesn’t because his camp should have this in the game plan) he should win and might even get a sub. Don’t forget arman petrosyan got ko’ed cold in under a minute in January this year; Gregory could put his lights out just as easy, I mean this dude ko’ed jun yong park. As for Terrance, he is the most explosive fighter in the ufc where ziam wants to have a technical striking battle. Terrance has enough power to spark him on the feet but don’t forget he’s a phenomenal wrestler in his own right; Ziams main weakness. Terrance was one of the best wrestling recruits going into college and I believe was even an Olympic hopeful. He too has fallen in love with the striking recently but before losing on dwcs, he wrestled everybody and was very effective at it. He was able to dominate Sean Woodson on the ground (something no one has been able to do effectively yet) and we know Sean has a great tdd. Ziam almost had his last fight be a draw because of wrestling so I think Terrance will either wrestle him or be too fast for ziam to be comfortable. He might not seem like he has a good gas tank because he is so explosive, but Terrance is very well conditioned so he can keep his pace the entire fight. He has said he spars 10 rounds during training

I think Joel subs arman tho. Joel is a serious problem at LW

I see Joel going very far, and I don't usually buy into prospects' hype. He's extremely good on the ground, a great striker, with a great frame for the division and recently I can even trust his fight IQ

I agree. Once he gets his weight in check (he’s hired a nutritionist and says he only weights like 170) he’s gonna go to the top quickly
